US senator Mike Lee blocks Smithsonian diversity museums, saying that they are 'weaponized': "The last thing we need is to further divide an already-divided nation."

"....one critical way we can right this wrong is by providing a home for their stories in the nation’s capital," commented Texas Senator John Cornyn

What "WRONG"??? Latinos have overrun this nation with tens of millions of illegal aliens, in addition to the legal ones. THAT is the "wrong"...and mass deportation is the only way to "right" it.

I'm afraid I'll have to agree with Senator Lee on this one. When did he grow a spine?

Lee is under massive attack for his treasonout S386 bill to create a master caste of Indian tech overlords, so he put this out to win some points.

What they really want is a museum for messican hispanics (ignoring their slave owning history of course), which negates all other latino groups. But some people are just determined to make a language into a separate race.

Women are already represented in museums - and there’s no guarantee that crossdressers and ‘transexuals’ won’t take prominence in any such museum, again, negating heterosexual women.

Lee is right on this one.

Lee often irritates me to no end, especially on immigration issues, but he did the right thing on this.

“According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Senate was attempting to pass them by a political mechanism known as the “voice vote”, but Senator Lee dissented, and the vote needed to be unanimous to pass in that way.”

And apparently Lee did it against the will of the go-along, get-along Repukes. I am talking to you, Cocaine Mitch, and your voice votes so that the constituents won’t know who votes for this garbage.

“Many Americans simply aren’t aware of the vast contributions made by these men and women who have come before us, and one critical way we can right this wrong is by providing a home for their stories in the nation’s capital,” commented Texas Senator John Cornyn, a Republican and one of the co-authors of the bill, along with New Jersey Democrat Bob Menendez.”

Cornyn is getting more contemptible every year. This social justice warrior statement from him comes just about five weeks after winning another 6 years in the U.S. House of Lords.

I'm trying to see what is wrong with any of those. What would the opposite be?

The State is the primary unit.
Dependence on the outsider.
Subservience is valued and rewarded.
The individual is entirely subject to forces outside his control.

There is no family.
Children which are allowed to be born are turned over to the State for raising in mass dormitories and be dependent on the State.

Subjective, irrational, scattered thinking.
Events are random without causes and effects.
Measurements and numbers are meaningless.

Our history doesn't come from our intellectual, religious, cultural or demographic founding, but rather from the trivia and fiction of the rest of the world.

Hard work if for chumps.
Play before (or instead of) work.
If you didn't meet your goals, throw in the towel and let someone take care of you.

Maybe they could have a museum honoring Poles, Italians, Greeks, and Slavs: the PIGS Museum. But I suppose Muslims would be offended.

When I taught the US history survey, many years ago, we had a textbook which, when it came to the massive immigration of the late 19th/early 20th century period, ignored the Poles and other Eastern and Southern European groups coming in large numbers in those years, and instead focused on the relatively small number of Latin-American immigrants to the Southwest at that time.

I think this is a wonderful idea. Latinos and women deserve to be celebrated with their own museums.

However, these museums should not be built or organized or manned with taxpayer dollars. A private, non-profit organization should be established for this purpose. Let those who are really for these ideas put their money where their mouth is.

Where is the “white” museum? or many others??? What exclusionary, racist crapola. Lefties are malignancies on civil societies everywhere they infect.

White S Africans are African. My wife is an African-American (though do not tell her)—she thinks she is an American.

What the Scientific method, The nuclear family and a Protestant Work ethic of “work before play”?

It was like they hired the KKK to make a Poster for the National African American Museum, but were too dumb to realize it.

Dumb because they are Liberals, not dumb because they are black.

To go with the Indian museum and the new....eh....black museum. Which BTW is hideous. The termite mound on the Mall that is the Indian museum ain’t so hot either.

Meanwhile, there is no major yellow museum.

Ignored once again. I guess yellows worked too hard and made their own way without whining, so they don’t get anything.
