*** That’s what I thought you were doing by saying you would never vote for a Republican again. ***

You are confused. You attribute something to me that I have NEVER said.
JonPreston said that in Post 32.

What are you talking about? The Trump Team has a multi-faceted strategy: Legal (fraud evidence gathering), Legislative (presentation of growing body of evidence to state legislatures in the BG states), Judicial (3 cases which will arrive at SCOTUS).

Unfortunately it is highly unlikely that any of those steps will be done before the electors from those battleground states are selected.

You’re right about the Mafia and Pennsylvania. I grew up not far from Pittsburgh in a town that was known throughout the area by its nickname, Little Chicago. The Mannerino crime family ran the place—numbers, prostitution, drugs, you name it. The city government was Democrat always—not a single Republican ever got into office. The Mafia ran the government too. A friend of my family who attended my church tried to get elected to city council as a Republican pledging to clean up the corruption.

He was driving home one night from work and was deliberately run off the road by another driver. He decided maybe it was a smart idea to drop out of the race.

My parents told me when they went to vote, their Republican registration was loudly announced. People in line actually turned around and looked at them as if they had crawled out from under a rock. That engendered in my parents an abiding hatred for the corrupt town we were living in and the Democrats who ran it. It was one of the reasons we moved. I was brought up on that hatred and on William F. Buckley’s “Firing Line” which we watched every Sunday afternoon. Conservative politics is in my DNA.

I’m ashamed of the cowards in the Pennsylvania legislature. I’ve told my chicken-liver representatives to get some guts, do their duty, and get rid of the Democrat electors. Ha. Fat chance. If I could I would spit on all of them.

Communists and totalitarians MUST get people to vote, at gunpoint if necessary ...if you aren’t with them, you are a threat
How do you think tyrants like Saddam Hussein got 99% of the vote?
I”m sure if people stop voting there will be coercion
Benevolent at first...

Me If this fraud prevails....am dropping party affiliation to Independent
Let them guess if I will ‘ vote’’ and for what

This video interview with Dr. John Eastman should illuminate.

Nope. It's the same old, same old and doesn't answer the question I've asked time and again. Nobody denies the fact that electors are appointed in the manner in which the state legislature may direct. Article II is quite clear on that. And nobody can deny that at some time in the past the legislatures in all 50 states decided that the manner in which electors will be appointed is through popular vote. So at this time, under Georgia law, the state electors have been appointed based on popular vote as certified by county electors and the Georgia Secretary of State. That is a fact. That slate is currently voting for Biden. Now what you and Eastman are saying is that after the fact the Georgia legislature can vote to change the method for selecting electors and designate their own slate who will vote for Trump. And they will do this without the courts ruling that the election was invalid. And you see nothing wrong with that. You see nothing wrong with any legislature voting to overturn the voters in any election for any reason, or no reason at all. So then why have an election at all?

I am sympathetic to your concerns, but the following language affords the State Legislature considerable power and flexibility.
"The State shall appoint, in Such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors..."

It doesn't say the Legislature must be tied down by enabling legislation which the governor must sign. That would transfer authority (shared as it might be) to the Executive Branch.

"The constitutional power to decide on the method for choosing electors remains exclusively with state legislatures." (Eastman)
The Supreme Court has described the constitutional authority of the state legislatures to determine the manner of choosing electors as “plenary.” See McPherson v. Blacker, 146 U.S. 1, 35 (1892); see also Bush v. Gore, 531 U.S. at 104. It has even noted that, “whatever provisions may be made by statute, or by the state constitution, to choose electors by the people, there is no doubt of the right of the legislature to resume the power at any time.” McPherson, 146 U.S. at 35 (quoting with approval Sen. R., 1st Sess. 43rd Cong. No. 395);see also Bush v. Gore, 531 U.S. at 104 (“The State, of course, after granting the franchise in the special context of Article II, can take back the power to appoint electors”). To be sure, “at any time” would likely not allow the Legislature to pick its own slate of electors after the results of a fair election which had been conducted pursuant to the Legislature’s existing statutory procedures, merely on the grounds that the Legislature would have preferred a different outcome. See Bush v. Gore, 531 U.S. at 104 (“When the state legislature vests the right to vote for President in its people, the right to vote as the legislature has prescribed is fundamental”). But such is not the case when the existing procedures were not followed, and when significant statistical anomalies raise serious questions about whether the election was fair. In such cases, the “manner” for choosing electors set out by the Legislature was not followed; the constitutional default of the Legislature exercising its plenary power—or, rather, resuming that power—is therefore again at the forefront. See id. (noting that the right to vote in an election for presidential electors is fundamental when done in the manner “the legislature has prescribed”).

Failure to follow Legislature specified procedures through irregularities and fraud means the Legislature is more than justified in exercising its plenary power to appoint electors.

Excepted at length from The Constitutional Authority of State Legislatures To Choose Electors by Eastman.

But again you are saying that the legislature should change the manner of selecting the electors after the electors are chosen. And you have no problem with that. Sorry but I think that opens up a whole can of worms that can, and probably would, be misused. For example, say that in 2024 after a hard-fought campaign Don Trump, Jr. claims a narrow victory over Kamala Harris with 275 electoral votes based in part on flipping Minnesota. But the Minnesota legislature doesn't like that result so they change the law, appoint their own slate, and suddenly it's President Kamala Harris. You don't see a problem with that?

No one is saying the legislature can't change the manner in which electors are selected. But before the election, not after.

In the presence of fraud, previously certified electors are not locked in. “You can’t keep what you’ve stolen.”

The Legislature under such conditions is free to decertify and choose a new set of electors. That is the law.

Then any legislature in any state in any election can use whatever excuse they want to throw out the results of the election and award their votes to whatever candidate they want. What if the Florida legislature had done that in 2000?

For any reason...

Eastman addresses this. Did you read his discussion in the link I provided? There would to be grounds such as fraud or failure to follow the rules the legislature laid down.

Their power is plenary but will be scrutinized if abused.

Sorry you think 2020 has been a bad year. In my year of 2020, it has been the absolute best year of my life! Without great details, I saw the power of God! ....wife cured of cancer, daughter graduated top honors with her Masters, I was given four months off with pay, markets did well,....all I did was pray, go to church, and thank God everyday! Icing on the cake I believe is in the works, it took a fraudulent national election to finally totally expose just how treasonous, dirty, and rotten the Democratic Party is,for the whole world to see. Sorry to say, but the year of 2020 has had the hands of God all over it. Don’t give up now, discard all your stinking thinking, pray unceasingly, and never ever stop giving thanks to God.

Have to agree wholeheartedly. Thank you for sharing His wonderful work in your family’s life. The INFINITELY GOOD LORD GOD ALMIGHTY provided a job outside California for this seasoned citizen; so, my beautiful wife and I may live within a mile of our grandkids.

Watched Calvary Chapel Chino Hills pastor Jack Hibbs’ pre-Thanksgiving service and he suggested turning off the news and focusing on God via prayer, Bible study, worship, etc. An excellent idea.

Amen, firm believers do realize God is fully in control and he does work in mysterious ways. After watching Cahn’s and Graham’s 8 hour event, the National Day of Prayer a few months back, I was energized, I realized how powerful 60,000 plus Christians praying on the lawn of D.C. can be. God is not finished with the US yet, I have been sensing Revival......unfortunately, Biblical history shows Revival comes about when a nation is brought to its knees,...but in any case, ( Biden or Trump), never ever stop praying and giving thanks....I am looking forward to 2021.
