Very good point. Or worse, they PRETEND! They pretend to be able predict some cataclysmic Earth ending event within 1 degree C 10 years or even 100 years from now yet they can’t accurately predict tomorrows weather.
And the only reason why weather predictions have improved since 30 years ago is because they can watch a weather front traverse the United States. They can see it from a satellite.
No way, the NY Slimes is only interested in Pulitzer Prizes for lying "reporters" covering up for mass murdering dictators!

That’s what puzzles me; as someone who spends time outdoors I’m always checking the weather before some project or other, and it seems the weather forecasts were more accurate 10 years ago.
Maybe the issue is understanding the data and interpreting it correctly. Knowing the limitations of the data.
Even being able to watch a storm as it travels across the country doesn’t guarantee the accuracy required to predict the weather 30 years from now.
