I, too, believe naming Gregory as Cardinal is Pope’s way of ‘sticking it’ to Pres. Trump. After Pres Trump stood with Bible in front of St. John the Divine Church and then visited chapel (?) with statue of Pope John Paul, Gregory made very negative comments about the motivation for the visits. I wrote Gregory to ask if he knew Pres Trump and what is in his heart. Also reminded him ‘judge not, lest you be judged’. Never got a reply. imho, the Pope and Gregory are politically biased.

Agree wholeheartedly.

Don’t give to the Vatican or the Bishop’s Appeal or Peter’s Pence. Give to your local charity...the food bank, the homeless shelter, the children’s Christmas fund...regardless of denomination.

Give only to charities that have transparency...where you can actually see where your money is going, and what it’s being used for.
