Lockdowns don't work, they don't stop virus spread

Partly correct.

If what you mean by "lockdown" is what was done in parts of the US, you are correct.

But what the French call "confinement", which they did for nine weeks in April through June, DOES reduce new cases to a very low level, near zero.

BUT.

When they relaxed in June, even a little bit, to the level of an American "lockdown", explosive spread began, is still going on, and they are now well above cases/100K population in the US.

Mike Osterholm has, in the past, been advocating for a total cessation of social and economic activity for "as long as it takes",

The French found nine weeks to be intolerable and unsustainable. "As long as it takes" is a fantasy concept, because that might be two YEARS.

We already tried it. Didn’t work

No we didn't.

What he means is stay in your house. No visitors. Get a police pass to go to buy food or medicine. Found on the street with no pass, go to a quarantine facility for two-three weeks.Their cases went to near zero, they found it intolerable, and when they relaxed just a little bit, their cases exploded to well above US levels.

But we didn't "try it", not ever, and it does "work" for as long as you do it.

Would Biden shut down every single K-12 school nationwide?

Looking at his advisory panel (I am familiar with the work of most of them), he most certainly will.

Don’t forget, they will be coming for our guns when BLM and ANTIFA burn down the cities.

Therefore lockdowns don’t work.

Philippines has been on a military and police lockdown, er martial law, since March. Cases continue to increase... full face mask, face shield and quarantine passes required.

Just like the Philippines...

And just like the Philippines. No further aid. Everyone is just SOL.

I remember when we were talking two-week shutdown to “flatten the curve.” That was MANY months ago.
