Scranton was a huge coal city.....those hills are full of it. You can drive down the highway and see it on the wooded areas near the roads.

People in that area are high tech rednecks...rough and hard nosed. Bottom line people. Don't try and mess with their heads.

Centrallia is not far from there....that's where the ground beneath is on fire for miles and miles..the coal is burning. A real issue the area has been battling for years as it creeps toward these populated areas. Scranton-WilksBarre and Kingston all run together like a huge city.

Steel is not big in Scranton. It is closer to the coal region and oil/gas region. Lackawana County, where Scranton is located is the last county in the northern tier that is not red. After hearing this crowd today I think it will go red.

People up that way live conservative lies and they are realizing that the Democrat party that their fathers and grandfathers used to vote for no longer exists.

Yes very early for snow...cold front swooped down from Canada over the lakes.....next week it swings the other way with a warm front coming. The jet stream always wobbles through my area.
