I have family in Toledo, Ohio. Mail for their Ohio goes up to Detroit for sorting then back down to Ohio.
This is why the dog and pony show marching out the new Postmaster to Congress and interrogating him on national TV. To give credence to extending receiving and counting ballots post election.
I know, my worry as well. I love how news is touting 6-3 conservative for SC Judges. Roberts is no conservative and has consistently voted with the Libs.
Well- it was exposed at a Detroit Michigan State election training session by hidden recording that the 6ft social distance rule be enforced for POLL CHALLENGERS. Poll challengers stand behind the election inspector (the person who checks you in and checks the QRF file- voter filed to see if you voted absentee or not, if you are in right precinct, etc). So they are telling workers to enforce the 6t distance rule, so they can’t see the file on computer to see the names, data, on the spreadsheet “unless they have binoculars”. Also said place tables so there isn’t 6ft distance for them to be able to stand behind you. Like make is 2ft. THUS eliminating the ability of poll challengers to do their job.
This should have been addressed long time ago by our party. LIKE make sure Poll challengers get the form voters complete at check in handed to them and that they also have laptop with that same file as inspectors to satisfy the 6ft distancing rule DEMS are enforcing.
Constitution bump...
Court opinion: "The panel further held that for purposes of § 521(b)(9), when a final Agency order is mailed to a party, and there is not proof of actual receipt, there is a rebuttable presumption that the order was received within three days of mailing."
Personally, I've had first class mail held up for as long as three months. That particular incident was delay in utility bills, such that my service was disconnected. No recourse.
The various States have statute saying the USPO delivers mail within five days, or ten days, or some other interval.
Now, you ask what "clown" arranges "things in that matter". It's becoming more and more clear that the USPS does not have any hard delivery timing requirement; it's a "best effort" service. Just like Internet e-mail -- no guarantees when you will receive a submitted message. So the USPS arranges things to minimize costs as much as it can, subject to the rising number of complaints made to elected officials.
Frankly, the USPS seems to care more about timely delivery of third class mail. There is Federal statute about second-class mail delay, but not first.
So write your Congressman to add this law: "The USPS shall create a new class of mail, to be used for all mail-in and absentee election ballots, in which there is defined a Service Level Agreement that such mail shall be delivered within three business days, without fail. Diversion or delay of this new class of mail shall be treated as a Felony with a minimum sentence of three years in a correctional facility."
Her first case should have been Pennsylvania’s 3 day post-election b
ballot acceptance.
McConnell should have gotten her confirmation sooner.
