Every time the “round” is run between two candidates, the LAST candidate is dropped, and those votes are applied to the 2nd place candidate (if the close count is between the first and second.
Now there would be five candidates left.
they would then compare the votes of whoever is in 2nd place with the third place candidate. If they weren’t separated by enough votes, then the last place candidate is dropped, and the votes are given to the current third place candidate.
Now there are four candidates left, and I presume the election would end at this point.
I guess.
I think if you look at this conversation we are having, it begs the question: why are they doing this?
Why are they making it so complicated that people have to discuss it in this way? (Of course, they would say “It isn’t complicated...let me explain it to you...”)
