It didn’t. Delta earlier October, now Epsilon.
Local weather just showed list of storm names-

Not sure why asterisk, entirely too early to think! Lol
I’m sure there’s an explanation. Frankly we don’t care. Name it Honey Bun. Just go away.

The asterisk is likely because the storm has not yet reached size/strength to be officially named, but will be soon in the future, and that is what it will be named.
