my sister and her son (and about tens of thousand others according to her) were in Newport Beach CA lining the streets as Trump was in town n for a quick fund raiser at at tech mogul Palmer Luckey’s Newport Beach estate. There was no rally other than what Trump supporters did on their own. She said there was music dancing and protesters were outnumbered 500 to 1. she got a pic of Trump giving a thumbs up and the crowd went nuts, not bad for CA- then he stayed at the house for an hour or so and off to Nevada
Obsessed with the damned masks...
Biden would take the money out of the basket.
Good news for that House seat we need to get back.
Best! President! Ever!
Biden would make change.
The Bible addresses public giving. I was always taught that it should be between a person and God. Im not surprised the media show this, but it is wrong. Note that POTUS is not drawing attention to himself while giving. He did no wrong - it is the media.
But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you (Matthew 6:3-4).

Are you going to lecture Trump and WND for having rally’s on Sunday now?
Not at all. Read (or re-read if you have) my post. I cannot imagine how you can distort my comment or the Word of God, to what you want it to say. Note it is a negative comment about the media invading the sanctity of a mans faith, for no good reason.
We are in this together, my FRiend.
Dont automatically fire at movement. Identify the target first.
I hope your day is a prosperous and productive one.

Trump would be in “trouble” if he bragged about how much he gave. Anybody can see anybody dropping some bucks in a basket...it doesn’t necessarily violate the “give in secret rule”. Also the “don’t let the left know what the right hand is doing” principle is to not let yourself have any second thoughts about what you first purposed to give. If your first impulse is to give 100 bucks, don’t change your mind and give 50.
You are absolutely right. What Jesus was speaking against were those that put many coins into the metal receptacle when they gave. They did it for recognition, not because of a giving heart. The more coins the greater gift (some thought). The size of the coin didnt matter, as they wanted people to know they were giving. It has a few similarities with the story of Ananias and Saphira, who wanted people to believe they were giving all, and told them that, but selfishly retained some for themselves. Was it wrong not to give everything? No. It was wrong to say you had given everything with a lie.
Trump did no wrong giving what he had purposed. In fact, if you look at the video, he carefully measures what he would give, and he was prepared to do it. Others were not visible doing that. He did not draw attention to his act. POTUS did no wrong in this. If he was not the most examined/observed man on the planet, we would never see this. Frankly, I think it is a good teaching point of proper conduct.
I am even more encouraged that he had twenty dollar bills; can you imagine the buzz if hed used $100s? I am impressed that he had enough forethought (purpose) to know he was going to a worship ceremony and that an offering would be made.
Thank you for your post.

I did carefully read your post.
I didn’t see any constructive purpose to it.
WND is the media in this case. And you say they did so for no good reason? I think it makes Trump look good. Some things are best left alone.
