It isn’t pleasant, but it beats getting the full blown disease if the vaccine works.

IF the disease is sufficiently deadly. Like anything else in life vaccines require some cost-benefit analysis. Smallpox? Sure. Historically it's been a proven killer. Mumps? Why? They've never killed anybody.

I’d trust information off of the CDC website about as far as Anthony Fauci can throw a baseball.

Those are not uncommon symptoms from a vaccine. The who goes vaccine is particularly bad in this respect but felt to be worth it

Because if we don’t the nutjobs will be calling us antivaxers and telling us that any shackles our “superiors” demand for us be worn proudly...
We now know we have treatments that can take a case that is beginning to be symptomatic and cut it off in mid stride...even for a 74 year old man...I find that heartening. I’m 68 and see no need to take a vaccine that might have other effects.

“Five participants — three in Moderna’s study and two in Pfizer’s late-stage trials.”

5 people out of how many???

So....

This vaccine gives you symptoms of... - Covid.

More brilliance coming from our DC-funded “science” community!

Some participants for leading COVID-19 vaccine trials have reported experiencing grueling side effects after receiving the shot — such as high fever, body aches, headaches and exhaustion.

Last year, my second shingles shot was like getting hit with a well swung baseball bat. It was the start of some bad stuff and maybe a brush with CV19.

The first shingles shot, I tolerated well. This new one, I went home sick with the first dose and felt sick on the weekend with the second. The 2nd Hep B, given to me because I work in healthcare, made me want to throw myself on the floor and sleep at work. Terrible.

I had 2 part shingles vaccine. Not one single side effect same with FLU shots yearly and pneumonia vaccine. Will happily take a corona vaccine if they some up with one.

When in the Navy and preparing for my first international travel I got the Cholera vaccine.

It was like getting hit by a truck. For 2 days.

Yes, though I doubt the vaccine would be available as quickly under a Democrat administration.

“Still, from what I hear that’s better than getting shingles.”

Shingles is the most miserable disease the devil ever inflicted on man. It’s not possible to experience more intense pain.

Maybe so they don’t later catch it and inadvertently pass on the infection to Mom or Grandma?

Meh. I’d worry more about being crushed by a semi when driving my car. It could happen. But it’s highly unlikely.

And if they ARE worried, they can quarantine themselves. Problem solved...

I’ve never had a flu shot. My brother had one. He still got the flu, had it for six weeks, ended up in the ER and almost died.

Meanwhile, I rarely wash my hands and am avid nail biter and very rarely get sick. It’s all about herd immunity, baby!

Shake?

Vitamin D.

I mow my lawn weekly and spend a LOT of time outside. I’m not the least bit worried about this virus at age 66.

We just visited my daughter for the weekend. She and her husband both had Rona a few weeks ago. Minor symptoms and they did lose their sense of taste. I hugged her a lot.

So far, so good, other than this dry cough and insatiable craving for jalapeno peppers, that seem to have completely lost their heat...;)

“Flu shots are infamous for these types of reactions. In some folks, anyway.”

Double-blind studies show that’s largely psychosomatic
