I think the debate is going to happen because now Biden is refusing to be checked for ear devices.. Earlier when he was agreeing to it he probably thought there would be no debate.
The Donald should walk right up to Unka Joe and look at his ear, and say: “Mr. Biden is wearing an ear piece.” And then walk off the stage saying, “Let me know when that’s gone and I’ll come back.”

Besides Biden is going to have every medical and technological aid possible to mitigate this - drugs, vitamins, earpiece or implant, advance access to the questions, etc. It is possible he will do pretty well.

I doubt that Biden’s handlers would risk trying it. One camera zoom in on Biden’s ears and his campaign is finished.
A coupla shots in the ass and he’ll be good to go. Trump will still destroy him and the networks will say that Biden destroyed Trump. Some things never change.
Also Biden’s handlers are demanding breaks every half hour, where they can re juice him as necessary.
