To paraphrase Homer Simpson...

“Thank God we have Berkeley politicians - they know everything.”

Such petty fascism would become routine under a Biden-Harris administration

Well that’s just it, isn’t it?

I’d like to say this is a really complicated issue, but it really isn’t. Sometimes, things really are simple. They just aren’t easy. That’s the case here.

Moving snacks to a different location won’t matter in the slightest in the grand scheme of things. You can Do Better, Berkely.

Pass an ordinance that everybody loddy doddy in Berkely has to show up for a weigh in. Some people have an issue. Some people don’t. Some people need to gain weight, in fact.

Any body however, who exceeds the weight limit on the published height & weight table for their age and sex is now prohibited by the City of Berkely from purchasing those items. We’ll be Watching You, Comrade. You know, just like Basic Training.

I remember watching in amazement about 5 Drill Instructors who zoomed in out of nowhere on a fat guy (morbidly obese) in the mess hall. He’d snuck a piece of pie or something. Danged if that guy wasn’t slim and trim at the end of training. He was very proud, too.

The problem with do gooders and that ilk is, if one person &@$ts their pants, then by golly we all gotta wear diapers. Focus on the people who have problems. They need it.

These are folks who want to LOOK like they are busy “doing something”; or “making a difference” but they don’t want to do the hard work entailed to accomplish anything substantial. And they sure as hell don’t want to endure the howls of outrage from people who are stuffing their face with “unhealthy” foods. Ultimately, being fat is a choice, for the most part.

I’m sure there will still be a bunch of high-carb, highly-processed crap they’ll be selling.

Press figs into a turd shape and packages them as Gavin Newsome Chews, hung front and center at checkout.

“All the time, you see adults waiting in line and their eyes do nothing but greedily scan the candy racks...”

Scanning the latest mugshots from Portlandia I contend that the term Adult doesn’t apply to everyone.

I am a bit behind the demographic curve but wasn’t Berkeley a pretty heavy neighborhood about 3 or 4 decades back?

It spreads like fire. I better be dead in 40 years. I’ll be 91. Hell, I better be dead in 30. I can’t believe what this country has become. The minute I think they can’t go crazier they do. Ok this isn’t a big deal but getting rid of gas cars, meat, plastic bags, etc is. The funny thing is that California announced more blackouts. Won’t it be fun to not even be able to use the car in blackouts. Ugh.

Black market candy and soda factories will soon be a thing in Berserkley.

The sheriff said he couldn’t drink a whole twelve pack so purchased the two six packs.

Sometimes it's not about the cost savings. I buy Mexican Coca-Cola from Costco. The case of half-liter bottles (500ml about 18oz) is only a buck more than the smaller bottles (355ml about 12oz). Sometimes I can only drink the smaller bottles. If I have leftover Coke from the larger bottle, it loses it's fizz if kept around for later. I buy both cases.

Regards the sheriff, yeah he's not thinking wisely.
