“The people proposing equality and sharing resources/wealth always wind up in positions of absolute power, authority, and wealth. “

Well of course - these are hypocrites and elitists of the highest order. Eventually they get their comeuppance, but not until they have caused unimaginable suffering.

It always amazes me how much people put up with before they rise up and butcher the bastards.

Fifty years ago the Left in this country had a moral compass.

That was a mirage, an illusion.

It was the people in the Left coasting on Cultural Christianity, what Prager calls "Judeo/Christian values".

As more and more people on the Left were raised in homes without Christianity, they lost their Cultural Chrisianity about what is right and wrong.

The value structure of the left is only about power, not about any objective right or wrong.

They want power over you, and they mean to keep it once they have it.

There is no third.

Sure there is. 3). If that doesn't work spend more money on it. 4). If that doesn't work see #3.

Sure. But they do pretend to have one.

The one factor of leftist identity that will never change is that it must always operate in disguise.

Whatever you define leftist ideology to be, it simply cannot exist on its own merits.

"It’s hard for the left to break something they never had to begin with."

It is as equally hard for those of us on the "right" to imagine that belief.

We live, work, and raise our families on basic principles of right and wrong - good and evil.

It is really difficult, perhaps impossible, to fully conceive and understand someone with no moral compass.

As difficult it is to understand a philosophy where there is no right or wrong, we must try as hard as we can to do so. If we don't grasp the concept there is no way we can philosophically defeat those who don't.

I have been saying for several years that the dim party does not corrupt the young who join. Rather that those who join the dim party have something missing in their gene makeup that makes them either unable to make correct moral decisions or their genes make them accept and even embrace immorality.

The result is that trying to educate them to be moral is a complete total waste of time.

Sort of like the serial killer in prison....he would not be there to start with if he were all there.. He is missing something..

Not too long ago I read an article describing a research project in which it was found that there is in fact a gene defect that causes the owner to lack the ability to make correct decisions when faced with moral and/or ethical problems.

Regretfully I did not save the link.

You’re right about everyday leftists, the ones who exist lower on the pyramid-shaped authority structure.

Those at the top actively reject a moral point of reference.

Actually I think there are two measures, and they each exist as a continuum. One is a desire to have a moral compass, which increases in a downward direction on the pyramid. The other is knowledge that the leftist moral compass is an illusion. This knowledge increases in an upward direction.

There is a third component involved, but I don’t know how it’s measured relative to the pyramid: deceptive intent.

The fourth component is very different and is a remedy for the entire problem. The fourth component is the meaning of life: relationship with God.

15 ... When you start with a false proposition and base all your policies on that you’re going to end up with a disaster in your hands like the soviet union, cuba, N Korea, cambodia, venezuela.

19 The people proposing equality and sharing resources/wealth always wind up in positions of absolute power, authority, and wealth. They don’t dig a ditch or live in a tower among the commoners or go without a healthy pension.

Well put. I might add that the bottom line, which is currently racing to the top of conscientiousness in our culture is that the “relativists” can not be allowed to remain in and as a part of our Republic.

The struggle really comes down to “them or us”!!!!!

No way can we win if our goal is to convert them into believing we can coexist in the same space.

This is indeed a cultural WAR wherein one side must vanquish the other.

Do we have the stones to do that?

Personally, based upon personal experience of 7 plus decades, I fear we really don’t.

We play by rules. For the left, there are no rules.

One of the most difficult conceptual hurdles for a person of goodwill to overcome is the idea that there are people with such a different world view that compromise with them is effectively impossible. It is even more difficult when such people are ostensibly your countrymen.

How do you achieve a “common good” when the people who are attempting to tear down our country do not even share the same concept of what good is? What do you do when these retrograde agents of chaos have a goal and they believe that any tactic or action is permitted to achieve it? Even if those actions include the killing of innocents and the destruction of a vibrant, successful society?

Compromise with evil, as our Judeo-Christian society defines evil, begets evil. Once you come to see the situation as it is, then you also come to the hard but necessary conclusion that compromise is impossible.

The words of Winston Churchill, calling his country to stand against a terrifying evil threatening them ring true today:

“…You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.”

Do we have the will to survive as the nation bequeathed to us by our Founding Fathers and successive generations or patriots?

November will tell.

You speak the truth.

Socialism is incompatible with Capitalism (personal freedom) and the two cannot coexist. The Marxists rely on the apathy of the capitalists and use it to their advantage. Capitalists often ignore what is going on around them hoping that someone better will somehow stop evil from destroying them, but through their inaction evil works in the background until its too late.

What give me hope, however, is that American exceptionalism is truly unique in history and the world; we are a naturally rebellious people and often shun authority. When Marxism shows its true self (as it has now done) the real question is will Americans reject it? The answer, I feel, is yes. The only question that remains past that, is do we still have time to change course? A question we will all see the answer to all too soon.

So, given your chart, why is Trump proposing/considering *another* $1.5 Trillion aid package?

If he keeps going, we very well may need that $4 Trillion tax increase to pay for it.

Or does money grow on trees now?

For believers, we have Jesus as our sacrificial element for the forgiveness of our sins. For the Left, Liberalism is a religion and the fetus is their sacrificial element.

the left (not liberalism; the two are different)

Unfortunately, over the years, the differences have lessened significantly.

POTUS 45 DJT is either oblivious to the federal debt or believes he can grow the economy enough to keep the debt collectors from calling ... for now. It is hard to see a way out of this financial hole. For now, I am on board the Trump Train.

Good to read your optimism. I am glad there are still optimists around. I, however, for a myriad of reasons, tend to be more of a pessimist.

My salvation is that I am close to the finish line. I fear greatly for my children, grand children, and great grand children.
