Exactly. I got a flu shot for the first time in my life last December because I had to in order to get the job I currently have at the hospital I work at and I still got the damn flu.

This was just a few short weeks before the whole covid thing became news so I almost wonder if I didn't have it before it was cool.

Anyway, I joked to the nurse/HR Rep who told me I had to get the shot that it didn't work and she said, very snottily I might add as if I was accusing her of something, "The flu shot doesn't work on EVERYbody."
