"Stuck in the mud" Republicans feel Loomer is too controversial for the GOP. How has more conventional Republicans worked out for them like Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, etc.

She's a needed breath of fresh air that will help inject some life into the party after Trump leaves the scene (in four years).

They say she has no chance in November but let's see how big those Trump coattails are. We might be surprised.

Sometimes that is a legitimate fear, why the Party disowned David Duck.

When Bush endorsed Edwards over Duke, I realized that the Washington establishment was one big happy family with a common goal. That was a long time before anyone started using the term 'deep state'.

After the stunt they pulled in Alaska, it should have been clear to everyone, but it took Alabama to finally wake a lot of Republicans up.

Duke is like the Sanders folks - they have the wrong answers, but they at least see the problem.

Imagine calling Ilhan Omar antisemitic...dangerous right wing stuff, right?
Loomer is not “ anti muslim”. She is anti- extremist jihadist promoting muslim.

Ok. This is a deep blue county. How is she to win? You need to be reasonable. Now the woman who is part of QAnon has a chance of winning in Georgia. The crazy loons you mentioned on the democratic side are all in deep blue districts.

Kim Klacik running for Cumming’s seat in MD is another one to watch.

Her ad is great. It shows the Democrats’ destruction of Baltimore.

Loomer was banned from social media for criticizing Omar.

First of all nobody ran against Lois Frankel in 2018...and in 2016 Frankel won 82 to 38 percent against the republican. Where was the close race you speak of?

Doesn’t help that the district is the 13th ranked most democratic district in the country.

Hope Loomer wins in the general.

This is the bluest of blue districts. Her odds are not good.

Yes, I googled the wrong district, one where a Republican won 52-48%.

Loomer doesn't have a chance in this race.

We voted for her yesterday, but have little hope of her defeating Lois Frankel in the democrat-infested area. No one ran against Frankel last time!

That is somewhat close. Trump won less than 10% in Manhattan (New York county, for the uninitiated).

Keep the faith! Many years ago when I was stationed at Pensacola, the entire South, including Florida, was Democrat. In FL-1, often there were no Republican opponents for Democrat office holders, and the primary election served as the general. I was one of only two registered Republicans in the entire precinct! Now, of course, the South and the panhandle are mostly Republican. We can hope that, with continued work, Broward County and environs can be turned toward the light. Hope springs eternal!

Histrionics - lose the “e” and use a “i”, not “y”.

definition - theatrical performances. And yes, your usage was ok...

As much as I like her, the Democrat incumbent got 5 times as many primary votes as she did.

I remember Pat Buchanan had some solid advice as to what to do about Duck, coopt his followers’ grievances and propose different solutions. But instead they simply denounced him, ducking Duke’s greater implications.

One thing is clear, the Republican Party, to make the Trump revolution mean something in the long run, has got to build inroads into blue states. It can’t be that every major city in the country is going to hell on roller skates the same way, even beautiful showpiece cities like LA, SF and Seattle, let alone NYC, the financial capitol of the free world. A network of infrastructure has to be grown patiently. Colleges and high schools have to be retaken or alternatives provided.

She might lose, but let the incumbent know her days of easy reelection are over. Make Soros pay for every Dem seat, double or triple the present going rate for incumbents.
