And you have inadvertently stated one of the reasons that we are told that there are more and more “cases” In our state (Washington) everyone who tests positive gets additional tests until they test negative. And every new positive test result is counted as a new case. So depending on how frequently a person chooses to be tested they can easily generate half a dozen additional cases. It is like this in many if not most states.
I have problems with DeWine, but bars (on a limited basis), gyms, salons, and restaurants are still open in the state.

Here’s my theory on how Mr. Mask Wearing DeVine ended up testing positive.
He wore the face diaper religiously. The mask picked up some virons and they stuck to the mask. He inhaled and some If not most of the virons slipped through the mask and got in his mouth and throat. He then exhaled and the virons were now on the inside of the mask. Now the rest of the day he is inhaling and exhaling these same virons which are now growing in number and every time he takes a breath he is exposing himself over and over to more and more of these virons until they now find a way to attach themselves to his cells and then this triggers the immune response.
If he hadn’t worn the mask everywhere he went he might have gotten a trace exposure without infection but because of the mask, he is now infected. The mask is a petri dish for this virus to multiply.

at this time, CDC would normally started inferring confirmed and non-confirmed cases based on prevalence
BUT ... this new disease remains something of a mystery or maybe even (with variants) a work in progress
We can’t stay in lock down thinking we will soon be done with this thing. We have to both learn to live with it, and keep working on potenital vaccines and cures for it.

The masks do not work if the jerk without one, standing behind you in line, coughs and sneezes his cruddy, filthy germs all over you and your clothing, and everything else around you that others touch. Masks hold in 90% of the wearer’s crud on his face. That’s what they are for. But why should you care? If everyone else around you is wearing one, you’re safe.

Masks are as effective as a screen door on a submarine.

Masks are very good to exert control over the blind sheep masses rejecting common sense.
Finally, and most importantly, masks don’t look good in terms of styling.
We need a mask and goggles for big government, not for the people that they are supposed to be SERVING (not ruling).
