They are proud of their chains. They wear them proudly. And they will also wear out the 911 switchboards c turning your butt in to the authorities. They are the ones that will push you through the camp gates and through the box car doors when the time comes. Think that the United States won't have camps? Think again. Read your history. Every Nation that went Socialists or Communists has had its camps.

Ya know.........the drama expressed from what should be common sense is a lesson no college can teach.

There will be no Civil War over mask.

There will not be a forced injection of the Mark of the Beast for wearing a mask.

You will not be required to turn in your weapons due to wearing a mask.

You will not suffocate from wearing a mask.

Your hand will not magically accidentally vote for Joe Biden because you wear a mask.

You will not be held down and have a forced abortion, vaccine, implant, tattoo, or any other secret but not secret plan of the NWO for wearing a mask.

You WILL look like an adult that respects other people and will help make this virus end its circling wave, by wearing a mask.

“Thanks for the link. The lady had it coming. Big mouth and poking with a cane.”

Whatever the cane lady said, the other woman was almost completely out of frame in the video and rushed back behind the woman and surprised her. Good way to get shot.

I empathize. I had to nurse an old, slow machine that had lost many functions along for several months until I finally saved enough to buy a refurbished discount machine online. I then waited a month more until my husband had time to set it up for me. Luckily, I had access to his old laptop, which, while finicky, still functioned enough for emergencies.

Wouldn’t you know it: exactly at the time I made the final credit card payment on the new-to-me machine, we tried to get some files off the old one and it was working again! So, our two elderly, glitchy machines are still available in emergencies.

Same happened when my old Kindle Fire began displaying only half a screen. I saved, used a credit card and paid for my new Fire with 2 months of payments. Meanwhile, I kept the old one charged, it came back to life and is still working 5 months later.

Ask around. I was able to gift another prior machine, a refurbished Vista with no access to WORD (vital to me), to someone living on $800/month to replace her bricked machine. Right now, I would be willing to do the same with either of my old machines if it would help someone otherwise isolated. Shipping is expensive and you have no way to guarantee the shipper won’t wreck it, so it’s best to find one locally. I’d even inquire at the local offices for elderly and low-income assistance in your area.

It is difficult to get rid of old electronics and it costs at least $15 at the landfill. Lots of dodgy computers languish in many households.

However, that brings me to another question: how are you participating on FR w/o a computer? Your phone?

Try this:

Those are not any of my concerns. If I was really fearful, I would be wearing a mask, if not for the virus, for protection against the virtuous. Instead, I am wary of governmental edict with neither Constitutional backing nor under any democratic legal process. Especially considering the murky origin of the *official* numbers, reports and those promulgating same.

You are so certain of what will happen, it must be a comfort and a blessing.

I had 4 grandparents who luckily fled 2 forms of communism 120 years ago. I was blessed to have them around until I was 15-30. I listened to them and to the other refugees in my community while growing up. I likewise met and became friendly with an Hungarian refugee in the mid 1950s, when we were both still in elementary school. At the moment, I know a South African ex-pat (now a US citizen) who was finally able to get her elderly mother out of SA.

Your predictions do not match the experiences of the past 120 years. Wish it wasn’t so.

Just sayin’.

Your Grandparents must have had fascinating stories and lives.

We’re not far apart regarding out of control Government. In fact I agree a disregard for our rights and/or law can occur within this Republic. It’s not immune.

I simple believe that we need to wait to cross that bridge.
We need to chose our battles.

Rising up against the Government because they’re seizing our guns, imprisoning people without crimes being committed or a trial, seizing our personal legal property is one thing. That’s our duty, our right.

Rising up because we need to wear a mask to combat a public health crisis, which will end eventually........just isn’t “it”. IMO.

No one protested mandatory laws that we need to wear shoes in public buildings. Why?

I guess what I’m saying is if mask are going to bring on the “Oh $hit” scenario, being as small of thing that mask are, then it’s going to happen for anything at this point. I’d like to fight for a better reason than a mask. But when it happens, fight I will.

You have interesting people in your life. Sounds like you’re blessed with amazing stories, and lessons.

Dear moo vova,

I extend to you my most sincere apologies.

My post to you was in reply to the previous reply, to you, from Mr Smith. I admit I did not see all of the other ‘nasty and name calling replies’, written by Mr Smith.

Mr Smith, consider yourself admonished, for your resorting to the leftist tactic of name calling.

Such unbecoming (for a FReeper) behavior.

“I still say the mask wearing commie, freedom hating, Karen lefty got exactly what she deserved.”

It’s like the people who think it’s their right to enforce the speed limit on you by blocking you from passing.

Stores are private property. Their store, their rules. Going mask-less is not a protected right.

I’m pretty sure we’ve never met.
I’m perfectly healthy, and have no plans on staying home anytime soon.
but if i was ill, I would not expect special treatment from the rest of the world. If i was scared, I’d.stay.home.

No one protested mandatory laws that we need to wear shoes in public buildings. Why?
___________________________________

There wasn’t a Civil War in process over shirts and shoes. THAT was an attempt to preserve civility under the aegis of *sanitation*. The truth is, the dress codes of the period were in flux (hippie days) and a few people saw ahead to where it might lead. They were right. The idea that anyone could dress anyway they liked in public in the early 1960s WAS radical and one of those prog incursions against American Culture.

It was a skirmish fought _without_ any official sanction and was easily won by the establishment majority.

I was there and on the radical side at the time. Same held true for long hair on males, no bras on females and the 1st Free Speech Movement which fought for the right to use Anglo-Saxon expletives in public.

Masks are dehumanizing and are, _this_ time, not youthful rebellion, but unlawful edicts by prog Governors and Mayors and health bureaucrats aimed at increasing isolation among the citizens. The so-called health justifications are shown as bogus just by the back-and-forth contradictions and ever-changing nature of the proclamations. They are obviously an attempt to pre-empt the democratic (small *d*) process.

Not only do masks in general not protect against viruses, the very boxes they come in and the actual Walmart notice online explicitly state that the masks do not prevent disease transmission. THAT is the tell.

Convincing you, and everyone who is going along enthusiastically, that the masks are a badge of kindness and respect is right up there with Satan convincing the world he does not exist. It is a BIG LIE, the sort Goebbels perfected.

Once enough people buy in and actually volunteer to nanny (or worse) their fellow citizens into going along, the next edict will be more onerous and the ones after that will be horrific.

Your trope has been that we mask refusers are afraid and pitiful in our unfounded fears, because: “It’s just courtesy and respect and caring for the vulnerable.”

We are more thoughtful than you realize. We see ahead. Our concern is with autonomy and the legal process by which we self-govern. Mask edicts, unfounded in law (except for a few captive legislatures), obviate self-government.

I am one of the *vulnerable*. I know countless like myself. DO NOT GO ALONG IN OUR NAME!!! I particularly detest being coopted as an excuse for tyranny.

And it IS tyranny when an elected official promulgates an edict with no due process and proceeds to add punishments for disobedience, as though we are somehow obligated to obey someone acting for political ends outside the agreed-upon social contract by which we Americans agree to representative self-government. At that point, the elected official has lost his electoral mandate and reveals the inner tyrant.

Notice that once the street-arm bully boys & girls take over enforcement, the Governors can then go on to getting rid of police, letting prisoners onto the streets, telling citizens to comply with robbery and assault and arresting those who resist. From masks to self-defense, it is the resisters of tyranny who are punished, while criminals go free. All in the name of *fairness*, *anti-racism* and all characterized by “No big deal because I said so.”

Notice also that in some places POC are exempted from mask edicts. Rioters are exempted. Congress is exempted. Yet POC are said to be especially vulnerable to the virus. Rioters are gathering in close quarters and wear masks to conceal their identity, which is explicitly against the anti-terrorism laws enacted legally in 2001 and beyond. Congress is full of elderly people whom we are to protect with our masks, but they can congregate and not wear masks. More tells.

My grandparents and the refugees from communism in the 1950s, 1960s and today had hard lives until they came here, worked their butts off and were allowed to think for themselves and participate in self-government.

They taught us NOT to mindlessly acquiesce because someone pasted nice words over an atrocity.

I do choose my battles. Masks are one of them. If assaulted and I survive, I will press charges. If deprived of freedom of choice and self-sovereignty, I will go to court. I will not give them that first inch because I am far too old to go the final mile to which that inch leads.

Your post indicates you are capable of rational thought and value our Constitution. Hopefully, you are not so wedded to your scathing dismissals of those refusing the mask edicts that you cannot change. This post is meant to be a red pill offering that I pray you will consider before dismissing out of hand just because you have created a corner position for yourself and would not like to lose face.

Since you asked...:)

The woman in the chair should not have poked at the other person.

If she is immunosuppressed, she should buy herself an effective mask like a fully sealed N-95 mask, or not go into places like Staples and buy stuff online instead. If I were really at risk and taking immunosuppressants, one of those stupid cloth masks isn’t going to protect me, I would be better making sure I don’t touch any products and wash my hands.

If the store requires a mask to go in, I will put one on or go elsewhere. If it doesn’t, I would wear one anyway not because it protects that lady in the wheelchair, but people are too emotionally fragile apparently to be adults about it, so I won’t provoke it for the time being.
