This is exactly the right attitude to have...
Throw bricks through windows of businesses, steal stuff from them, light fires, and paint graffiti everywhere. If they happen to run across any statues, tear them down.
Then they won't have to worry about social distancing, masks, or being arrested for anything.🙃

Christ would want His followers to listen for His voice and not the voice of men. Yes, Covid is among us, but God has given His people wisdom (too), and expects His people to exercise both caution AND obedience.

Oh yeah, I remember that being enshrined in the Constitution. “Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of happiness...but above all, the main concern is safety which can over-ride the other items at the whim of a bureaucrat.” /s
I made no comment as to what Jesus Himself would do. My comment was a guess as to what He would want his followers to do in the time of a pandemic.
Part of the problem here is that many congregants are older folks. They are the ones most at risk if they catch the virus. So why not do internet-based services for now?
Side story:
The son of a good friend of mine went to a small graduation party back in June. No more than 10 people were there. The kid caught the virus. He then gave it to his entire family - dad, mom, and sister. I don’t think the dad (65 years old) is danger of dying. But he is not doing so well.
This situation helped shape my opinion here.

The decision a pastor makes about meeting during a time of pandemic should not be based on what some bureaucrat says. Instead that decision should be based on the safety of the congregation. That is not always an easy decision, to be sure.

We all know how long the list of things that are God’s should be in our lives and how short the list is of what we owe the world’s governments. Let them pray!

We will need fearless leaders in all walks of life who will stand up to the Marxists, including Pastors.
Should the destroyers take full power in November (which is a nightmare but a very possible scenario), we KNOW what will then happen. Darkness and destruction putting us in the same class as Venezuela. Suffering unlike anything our nation has seen in modern times. People won’t know what to do. Leaders will need to help blaze the trail of rebellion against the Marxists. Dr. MacArthur may simply be an early such leader.
No worries. I give great leeway to anyone who honors the Lion of Lechistan. I’m guessing you know what I mean by that!
