Trump played this well. He locked in the November 3 date for the election (and with the admonition that a winner be declared “before the night is over”) before the Dems could find a lame excuse to delay it themselves.

Trump made the statement as a ploy to draw the Dems into a frenzy to reveal what fools they are and how much they don’t know about the Constitution. Changing election laws requires an act of Congress. These media clowns should have realized this was a no-go statement.
