Why is this surprising? Oh yeah - Orange Man bad.

Self inflicted. Not a surprise when the government shuts everything down.

The Democrats and the media hate Trump and his supporters so much they set fire to their own houses in order to destroy those of the ones they hate. In Mexico they have this expression:

Quemas tu casa para quemar la del vecino.

You set fire to your own house to burn down the neighbor's house. This has gone beyond the terms of sociopath and psychopath. It is out-of-this-world mental illness.

This is going to keep happening until Republicans get the guts to hold Fauci and his fellow travelers responsible. They can do it — if they plan it out and play offense.

32% is ANNUALIZED. Not quarterly.

No - perhaps you just don’t understand the terminology?

From NYS...

New York's June Unemployment Rate Hit 15.7%

I had to dig to find that. And I'm betting this is lowball.

It ain't Trump's doing.

>>>32% is ANNUALIZED. Not quarterly.

It is STILL the worst drop EVER - with the closest previous drop coming in 1921

I love how you are screaming the "32% is ANNUALIZED" as if it nullifies what has happened somehow - as if it isn't the worst drop in recorded history.

Listen carefully: IT IS THE WORST DROP IN RECORDED HISTORY. IT HAS NEVER BEEN THIS BAD IN ANY QUARTER. Put it in any package you want - tie a ribbon around it - put a bow on it - and put some perfume on it - but it still stinks.

Got it? Because this head in the sand propaganda is worse than what they did over at MSNBC when Obama was president.

It is a quarterly figure.

Right?

Yes, and there is nothing in the article that is "BS." The article explains exactly what it is - which is the worst quarterly figure in the history of record-keeping - beating the old record going back to 1921.

I suggest you familiarize yourself with financial terms...because it's not hype when an article says "economy shrank in the second quarter by the fastest rate since the government began keeping track of gross domestic." That is a true statement. When it says the economy "contracted at a 32.9 percent seasonally adjusted annualized rate in the April through June" - that is also not BS.

When it says "Personal spending fell by $1.57 trillion" - that is also not BS.

So - your post is incorrect. Just because you don't want to believe it to be true - doesn't make it not true. If you can't see the disaster we are headed towards in that statement - considering the amount of government debt this president and this congress are laying on us right now - I cannot help.

Have a good day.

These democrat mayors and governors are destroying their cities for at least a generation. The longer commuting suburbanites hunker down and work from home, their companies are realizing savings from lease payments, janitorial services, security staff, insurance costs, to name a few. The employees are saving money on lunches, parking, shopping, and commuting and auto insurance costs.

When the election has passed, and the danger from this worst-ever contagion evaporates, I don't expect suburbanites will want to come back, and their companies are likely to agree. Why return to higher expenses, more crime, and long commutes when everybody is perfecting the art of steering clear of sh!+hole cities?

But with the wealthy targets disappearing, Sh!+holistaners will creep into the nearby suburban neighborhoods to ply their trade. Violence in surrounding 'burbs is likely to increase, better to move beyond the immediate buffer-suburb, if you want to remain safe.
