Rain and winds just starting to pick up here in NW / North-central CT.
The Weather Channel reported our area, Hartford County (and pretty much all of Massachusetts) is in one of those tornado watch boxes, effective until 9:00 pm ET tonight. So we're under a Tropical Storm Warning and Tornado Watch, I believe.
WTIC 1080 radio just broke into Rush's show with a National Weather Service Alert that a tornado was suspected / spotted in Norwalk, CT (Fairfield County, about 85 miles SW of here).

Thanks, FRiend. Charging now! (Have been for awhile)
Fortunately we have a basement here, so no need to get into a closet.
So far no need to get into the basement either, but I'm keeping an eye on our local meteorologist on TV.
Whoa, raining harder here now. We desperately need the rain though. Hope the winds don't get too bad. So far still just light winds.

Yikes! Just got the LOUD warning on our cell phones... Tornado cells spotted in OUR area now! Possible tornado hit here at 3:16 - 3:30.
Rotation over downtown Hartford now... 19 miles south of us.
Gotta get away from this computer and get near the door to the cellar.

3:57 pm ET. We seem to be in the clear now re tornado, although we came close to making a quick run to the basement around 3:20.
Local meteorologists now reporting NO rotations in our area. Hartford County still under Tornado Watch until 9:00 pm ET. I have a feeling that will expire sooner.
Still gusty winds and rain here. Lights flickering...
