I saw that. Is there any forward speed projections now? That could be trouble.
If the so-called engineer actually wrote "Three Gorgeous Dam," I wouldn't believe a word he says. Beyond the nutty dam name, anybody who says, "I've been a Republican my entire life..." is a paid political troll.
Looks like NOAA’s “Miss Piggy” is still flying around in it. Don’t they update at 11pm?
Just the way this guy talks, he sounds like a big phony.
Or maybe it’s some ChiCom who learned English by watching John Wayne movies.
I havent heard of evacuations from Cocoa Beach......
.....does anyone know?
Or would they rather folks shelter in place.
Not sure what to expect.
Sorry NN.
I’m not aware of evacuations anywhere.
I wonder why it buckled then....
In my non-professional opinion, that indicates weakness and does not bode well.
We should have an ongoing dam thread.
Maybe there is one?
A Hurricane Warning is in effect for...
* Boca Raton to the Volusia/Brevard County Line Florida
* Northwestern Bahamas
* Central Bahamas
Note to self: put a strip of painters tape over door keyholes.
Is there a currently active discussion about TGD on another thread you are monitoring? I have some ideas about why TGD is unlikely to totally fail, but, I don’t want to gum up this thread.
As for Isaias, let’s hope he swings 200 miles east of a US landfall.
Use this site as a guide...

Obviously keep an eye on local TV and news. The News & Observer is politically worthless but they’ll give good hurricane coverage.
Once Jim cantore shows up, its all over! Lol!!
Forecast track has jogged east again, good news for SE Florida.
Max sustained winds 85 MPH.
Radar Loop illustrates forecast track shifting East.
It took my invitation from post 129.
We thank you for your invitation and for Isaias’ RSVP!
Tuesday evening my son in Guaynabo and I were on the phone and suddenly his electricity went out. I asked “is this a problem should we say goodbye?” He said, “No, it happens all the time.” Thursday evening I called him to see how he had fared with the storm. He said just fine and that he had electricity. I don’t know if it is useful information, but his field is electrical, and after Maria he was installing a lot of generators.
