This late in the day, any arrests would look like election mischief. I understand they are pushing for guilty pleas, which would help with that, but its going to take something pretty powerful to get over the news embargo over at the alphabet networks.
It’s all beltway theater. The Deep State are pushing events up so close to the election that they can plausibly be dismissed due to that. Gowdy has said the GOP knew in 2017 the FBI was lying about Fisagate. They did nothing then and they (Barr) will do nothing now.
I wish it were otherwise. That said, we need to deal with reality.
I’m still trying to make sense of his most recent article. From what I an tell basically the Special Council was really a coverup of all the illegal stuff Obama did. But it’s so convoluted.
I do think lots of heads should roll for trying to take down a POTUS. But I really get lost in the weeds when Sundance starts explaining all these details.
I get it that Obama and the Clintons did illegal stuff. Granted. And the FBI leadership has been turned over substantially. Ditto DOJ and State. Very bad things were done. OK, now what? We’re 100 days out from the election. It that’s too blunt, my bad. In my work I have some hard deadlines. This is a deadline, and has a much higher import than a Joe like me earning his pay. Put up or shut up Barr/Durham/et al.

But I too am worried that all this investigation and analysis will be for naught if it doesn’t come out before the election. It’s useless if Trump loses. Based on previous experience I’m worried that maybe that’s what Barr is up to.
I appreciate Sundance’s really hard work - he obviously has put in a huge effort and I hope the DOJ doesn’t let him and all of us down. At this point he seems to think that isn’t likely but can’t tell us why yet. Durham and Barr better hurry up.

Yeah, he can get that way. He has done absolutely fantastic analysis at times. At other times he’s been horribly off. For example, he was predicting a 70m Trump popular vote in 2016. He also predicted Sessions would resign within 24 hours . . . in a post in late 2017-—merely a year off.
But his stuff on the corruption in the FBI is excellent. He probably gets tired of answering “So where are the indictments?” because none will be forthcoming.
And then, the following week, he will type 47 pages.

The problem is making links between people mentioned in said documents and linking them to other people in a ridiculous manner.
