While I haven’t seen articles about it on FR, Major League Soccer has a BLM ‘ceremony’ before each match with players kneeling on the field (some raising their fists). Also, they have every coach, and every player on the sidelines and the benches, wearing black shirts with ‘Black Lives Matter’ in big white letters during their games.
I still contend that if the ‘powers that be’ start THANKING all for saying a little prayer during the National Anthem this kneeling would be forbidden in a heartbeat.
Well, Washington Nationals, I had done without you for the first 65 or so years of my life and I guess I won’t be missing ANYTHING by not tuning in if you go along with this garbage.
I may ‘watch’ a bit to see how some individual players act in regards to the crap plus how they act during the anthem.
But I guess we can just call this
‘MY LAST HURRAH’ for sports even down to the HS level, saw somewhere in Oregon or Washington(??) where a Football Coach (or asst) was ‘fired’ because he was a Sheriff.
At the risk of seeming to be ‘punishing’ my kids, I would certainly be thinking of removing them from the team as I wouldn’t want them associating with adults that would allow this to happen.
OTOH, I would like to think MY kid would say, NO DAD, no ME.
They REALLY don’t want anybody to watch baseball this year, do they?
Reason, logic and common sense don’t have a place in professional sports anymore, apparently!

Well they caved. I am officially free from watching corporate sports. Liberating! Thank you MLB...you held out the longest but thanks for making it official that I can completely divest myself from crappy corporate sports teams.i am sure this will help attendence.
Tell everyone to not go or purchase ANY pro sport paraphernalia for 1 year... just one year tell everyone to just do something like watch high school or NCAA ball.
All it takes is everyone going ghost for one year. No jerseys, caps, shoes, $15 beer, $300 seats, $100 parking and the cable bulls#t.

I retired my Cardinal hat tonight.
I was thinking about where to get a hat to replace it since I can’t wear a mask and WM can go to hell.
Then I remembered my B-i-L got a Trump 2020 KAG hat earlier this year and left it here. I found it, rinsed the spider webs off it and it is dry now and I will put it where my Cards hat was.
