How many divisions does the judge have?
“....How many divisions does the judge have?....”
NONE...Ignore, Ignore, Ignore. The judge is “non-essential” in this case.
you never see our appointees maintain their ideology. i'll give the left that...they're committed.
Thanks tomkat.
The [DACA] policy, an executive branch memorandum, was announced by President Barack Obama on June 15, 2012.
DACA was formally initiated by a policy memorandum sent from Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano to the heads of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The memo formally directed them to exercise their enforcement discretion on behalf of individuals who met the requirements.
2. How DARE the President of the United States act like he's the President!!! Doesn't he know that some district "judge" from Bumfrack, Maryland outranks him?
And the work permits? Do those have any basis in anything?
I think the court relied on the fact that Trump did not actually rescind DACA with an Executive Order. He had one of the agencies do it thru “rule-making”. The court basically ruled that Trump did not follow the right process. Which is still crap. Trump does not want to expose himself to the wrath for deporting these kids. He has always said he wanted to work it out, but Democrats refused to deal.
The swamp is totally messed up and aligned against regular Americans.
LOL, shades of Andrew Jackson: “The court has issued its ruling, now let them enforce it”.
Again I am of the minority opinion on this site. I do agree Trump was right and the court is wrong; but these are fellow human beings and residents of our cities and states. We need to find another way.
To be clear, I am 100% in favor of border enforcement, a “wall” physical and/or electronic to keep people from committing crimes against the USA. I do not believe that non-citizens should receive taxpayer benefits (but from their houses of worship or communities is a different question). But people who are here and who are productive, it’s a very hard choice for me human to human. I love this country and what it stands for and recognize that many people who come here come for the same reasons that makes me love America. They believe in America and the American Dream. I wish they could have it in their homelands. At the same time, I know this has always been a country of immigrants.
To apply, immigrants had to be younger than 31 on June 15, 2012, must have come to the U.S. when they were younger than 16, and must have lived in the U.S. since 2007.
Unbelievable.
Parents can now look at their sleeping child in bed and whisper to each other that maybe their child can grow up to be the most powerful person in the world-—a district judge appointed by a Dem.
Right, but was there authority to issue the work permits? A law which gave the discretion? Its one thing to use executive authority to decline to enforce, and another to issue or give away permissions.
An in your face spit on the President. A petty Little scumbag. If Trump wins he can make this right along with many other things and if he loses it wont matter because the country is screwed permanently
Some are good and many are bad.
We need a nuanced policy to sort them out.
This is, frankly, the age old question of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. It’s a “flaw”, if you will accept that term, in our system. And it is a loophole which allows criminals of all types to exploit.
You can’t get a job, under the current system, without a social security number. But somehow, some way, the SS bureau cannot figure out in a timely manner which number is legitimate, which is a currently used number, which is the number of a retiree, which is a number of a dead person etc.
If the SS were empowered (which, for other reasons, I reject on principle) there would be no jobs for illegal immigrants. This may be not a matter for the courts, but a matter for Congress. Recognizing that, it is also a political hand grenade. Someone has to jump on it.
I agree. But to expect “nuance” from the Federal Government... LOL.
Obama was never even eligible and yet he still wields power.
Democrat judges are like dormant terrorist cells that have now been activated. Can’t let it ever happen again
I might have felt that way if they were grateful to our country. They’re not. They’re entitled little illegals who demand that we bow to their demands.
Deport them all.
