There's a lot going on here but what's important in this report is the police officers are not identified as Hispanic in the headline or the article. Had the officer been white, the headline would include "White Officer Hit Black Woman"

When you get up in a police officer’s face, you are invading the safe distance between yourself and the officer’s weapon. As a Correctional Officer, when we carried outside the facility, we were told not to allow anyone to get within an arm’s distance of our weapon. She was not within an arm’s distance...she was right in his face, and could have tried to grab his weapon at any time. An officer should be able to use the amount of physical force necessary to remove that threat.

Charge up to the police, close to NO distance between you, then do your “thang” and try to physically attempt to intimidate the officer. . .no way that’s gonna fly. And this “woman” thing. . .Black women are some of the most explosive and violent people out there. She invaded his personal space (no room for the officer to keep distance), and if he did backup, and you see this all the time, just like a wild animal she would continue encroaching on the officer, violating his personal space needed for safety and making it a situation where she could strike him before he knew what was happening.

The cop (who never should have been one) didn’t hit her because she got in his face (and certainly not a headbutt).
He hit because he is a bully and couldn’t take a woman saying, “What you gonna do”?
She’s no prize but it didn’t warrant his action. I’d ask all the fellow bullies here if they would have hit her too?
