There was nobody left for Cuomo to kill.
Deaths lag cases by 2 weeks.
“Deaths lag cases by 2 weeks.”
That is absolutely true. It will be interesting to see how this huge surge of cases this week translates to deaths.
There have been big advances in treatment, so hopefully deaths do not surge as much as cases have surged.
“Deaths lag cases by 2 weeks”
Yes, it does. That is why cases rising for the last 30 days while at the same time the 7 day rolling average of death declining rapidly to new lows while cases rise tells one something more is at work, that the virus may be losing its severity and potency further helped by the fact that the health sector has learned how to deal with new therapies for the more severe cases
of course
they can’t acknowledge anything that might possibly come across as “Trump good”
doesnt fit the fake news memes they are pushing 24/7 nonstop until and after he wins again
The ‘huge’ surge of cases are mostly old cases that are now getting tested. They’ve had the virus but were not symptomatic. They stayed indoors with other asymptomatic family members.
Now they are coming out and getting tested.
90 % is a bit of cherry picking but the point is 100% true.
The MSM cherry pick and distorts to make things bad.
Here it really is down, using a running average of 7 days it’s down 70% which is huge.
And New York still is at the forefront in deaths (2nd behind CA).
The media tells people it’s running wild over the country.
But the disease is mostly fatal only for the old and infirm.
So the death rate should stay low.
True
But as the article points out, the average age of many of these new cases in FL is around 30. Otherwise healthy people, age 30, don't die from COVID.
Increase in cases coincides with increase in testing.
There are two types of tests: 1) “molecular amplification” tests (RT-PCR) to see if you are currently sick and 2) antibody tests to see if you had the disease in the past but are not currently sick.
When the press talks about testing, I believe they are talking about #1 (current infection, currently ill), not #2 (past infection, not ill today). If that is true, then it cannot be that the case surge we are seeing is old cases as those would only be identified by #2.
There is a big increase in hospital admissions in many states. The news the past couple days is quite a few hospitals are at their max capacity. If increased testing were identify asymptomatic cases, they would not need hospitalization.
The increased cases AND the increased hospitalizations is worrying. As another poster said, we’ll see what happens to the death rate in 2 or 3 weeks.
Winning
And we are UNMOVABLE.
MAGA
There's an big increase in non COVID admissions in hospitals. All of those admissions are being tested and some test positive for COVID.
So, there's that.
Fun facts for Florida:
Record HIGH number of new cases: 8,933
Record LOW number of deaths: 6
This is for 6/25/2020.
Those numbers might change as straggling data comes in. But it is still very striking. There were 11 deaths the previous day, also a record low.
I understand that deaths can be expected to lag cases. However daily cases have been going up for some time with deaths remaining level and now falling.
The view has been expressed in Italy and Great Britain that the virus is “weakening.” I’m not sure why a virus would weaken. But it does seems to account for the facts, regardless of the reason.
I think it is not a weakening of the virus, but application of knowledge learned the past few months - less intubation, anticoagulants, prone positioning, HCQ+AZ+Z, other meds.
The press is not only unethical, they are retarded as well.
Listen instead to red state governor offices. Today the Lieutenant Governor of Texas gave a clear and informed explanation. He definitely knows what’s going on. Of course, fake news won’t air him but he’s on YouTube.
Deaths have been going down for well over a month and are currently at lowest levels since March.
That is way way longer than two weeks. This hoax is over.
