Bear Bryant would lay into his team at halftime if they were leading by 20 points. But if they were trailing, he would build them up and encourage them instead of yelling at them.
I thought he just needed a few more applause lines. Attack Biden then follow-up with an accomplishment. It went too long without getting the audience revved up.

What people REALLY want to hear Trump say is:
- I’m going to end the chaos in our streets
- I’m going to push back against this drive to destroy our culture.
- I’m going to get us out of COVID mode and back to normal as quickly as possible. This includes dealing with recalcitrant governors who won’t reopen and ending the mask culture.
- I’m going to see to it that China pays a price for what they did.
The story about the ramp at West Point, entertaining as it was, did not address any of that.
Yes. That’s the idea. If DJT laid into his campaign team, it was just that — to motivate them to get their asses in gear and act like they’re in the fight of their lives (even if they aren’t). That’s how great leaders lead.
The speech itself was very good I thought, laughed a lot listening to it. The critics who are disparaging his speech don't know much about successful rally speeches.

You’re right. I am continually amazed by the number of people who are scared to death of the Wuhan flu. The fact that all of his pre-KungFlu rallies were packed, and that millions watched on TV or online, tells us that the enthusiasm for the President is still sky high, much to the chagrin of Commie News Network and the Slimes.
It may just be that lots of folks are still too scared of the Wuhan to sit shoulder-to-shoulder in an arena for hours with thousands of others.
[Since 2016 I’ve traveled to several Trump rallies that were held hours away from where I live.
If I had a ticket to a rally and I was told that a million others had also ordered tickets, I wouldn’t have left home.
The first lesson to be learned here is: Don’t give the ticket count until AFTER the event is over. ]
