A user from Nigeria says the name Oluwatoyin is of African origin and means “Praise”. A submission from Texas, U.S. says the name Oluwatoyin means “God is worthy to be praised” and is of Yoruba origin .

So were both of the victims hanging out together, or were they taken in totally separate incidents?

The suspect was bailed out on June 1, has a record, so I wonder who posted his bail? Would be ironic if some liberal group did.

She was such a sweetheart, too, bless her heart:

Video footage from the protests of shows Salau giving a speech in which she says, “First of all I want White people to realize their f**king privilege… wherever the f**k I go, I am profiled. Look at my f**king hair, look at my skin bruh… so imma die about it, imma die by my f**king skin. You cannot take my f**king blackness away from me. My blackness is not for your f**king consumption, n*gga.” -———https://nationalfile.com/police-activist-who-said-white-racists-are-the-enemy-molested-murdered-by-black-men/

Now if she had been like the soft spoken well mannered Nigerian legal immigrants who work as nurses at my sister’s hospital, and stayed in school or stayed home to study hard and get educated and worked hard... she wouldn’t have gotten her naive little self into the situation and been murdered.

An extended version of the clip shows Salau saying, “Y’all need to remember who the f**king enemy is… it’s racist [indistinguishable], white racist [indistinguishable].”

I think she wanted to be a model.

I knew a lot of Nigerians in college but they were all high achievers, not one of them used language like this gal did.

Saw one of her comments that she was moving out of her Mom’s place; cannot tell for sure but sounds like the sort of thing a spoiled rebellious know-it-all teen writes when the parents try to set down the law.

According to a 2011 survey by MICS, 60 percent of Ghanaian women believe that husbands are justified in beating their wives, for a variety of reasons. In 2008, 38.7 percent of Ghanaian women between the ages of 15 and 49 who had ever been married had experienced physical, emotional or sexual violence by a husband or partner at some point in their lives.[17][18][19] Reasons mentioned in the MICS report include: “if she goes out without telling him; if she neglects the children; if she argues with him; if she refuses sex with him. . .: Domestic violence in Ghana
