Hmmm...

13 percent of the population...what % of the staff?

If he means what I think by "stories that really need to be told," I think I'm not interested.

13% of the population...100% of our attention.

*snort* Like it’s going to matter when the LA Times lays off half the newsroom in the next couple weeks. Hope the ‘reporters of color’ have angled themselves into beats that’ll survive; Hollywood gossip, kissing City Hall’s rump, business. Those on far less profitable gigs like sports or local news will find their last paychecks coming down the pike pretty damn quick.
