If armed citizens should — heaven forbid — BLAST some commie looter during commission of a felony, an arrest may ensue. It happens.
But the Framers provided for such an event!
For just about any crime, a “trial by jury” may be demanded. Your “peers” on the jury may find you not guilty even if you sure as hell did EXACTLY what they claim you did, right there in front of God and everybody, with video and witnesses. No matter how much the prosecutor wants you convicted, the jury can decide otherwise.
The jury is the last line of defense against injustice, and against unjust laws. By finding you not guilty, when you surely are, the jury is declaring that the law itself is wrong and should be repealed.
So an armed citizen is arrested for actively defending his neighborhood? Yeah, so? I’ll go before a jury to explain that one. You betcha.
