If the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, CA could be expanded, that would be classic rub in the nose to liberals.

It’s the Tar Heelers who don’t have a clue since Jesse Helms retired.

“Really? This is what Trump is focused on? Wasting your time on a convention while your country destroys itself won’t get you re-elected, bank on it.”

If you paid attention to the news, this was in the works long before the ANTIFA riots in liberal and democrat run cities. But I can argue that it IS connected because these last few nights is just a test run on what will be seen at every Trump rally in liberal city. Democrats/ANTIFA. Why would anybody want to have a convention in such an environment? Secondly, the country is not destroying itself, liberal policies destroying their states.

Not sure it will, NC voters let us down most of the time.

He should not have it in a city. Find an alternative

I suspect the governor received marching orders from Democrat/Left Party leaders to force Trump to move the convention and maybe cost him NC. I don't think that would succeed as the business owners who will not see the much needed revenue will blame the governor for this economic blow (and also for the restrictions that the governor has indicated may remain in effect for yet another three months

It's not a viable option -- as has been suggested -- to move the convention to a blue state as that governor could pull an 11th hour stunt to shut down the convention due to the virus or some other, similar fiction.

Worthless Roy Cooper does not believe in the rule of law.

As the Attorney General he refused to prosecute Crystal Magnum, the ‘exotic dancer’ who accused the lacrosse team of raping her. She ended up murdering one of her ‘boy friends’ and burning his clothes in the bathroom tub.

North Carolina also voted overwhelmingly in a resolution to require an ID to vote. Cooper vetoed voter ID.

He has been slow walking preparations for the convention. He wanted the money but definitely doesn’t want the convention in his state.

That’s why he’s President . ..and you aren’t . It is possible to do several things concurrently.

I disagree.

Having the convention in a battleground state puts that state in the bank for our side.

The last time the GOP picked Florida for a convention site it was Tampa and a hurricane showed up and totally disrupted the proceedings. This year appears to be shaping up as a very active one for hurricanes.

“””To be honest, he should try to locate it in a swing state. FL is not a swing state.”””

I reckon you have forgotten that Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott barely won in 2018. And Trump did not beat Hillary by all that much in 2016

Cooper was elected by fraud using provisional ballots and electronic vote tampering.

An afterthought: something else the gripers tend to forget is that it’s not the RNC’s job to set policy. The job of the RNC, like the job of the state parties, is to WIN ELECTIONS. That means supporting the people who WIN PRIMARIES and thereby earn the right to run as Republicans on the general election ballot. That right isn’t conferred by the county, state or national party; the right is conferred by Republican VOTERS in primary elections. The job of the party organizations is to organize and conduct the primaries and support the winners in the general election. If you have an (R) after your name, you are entitled to the support of the party apparatus.

I remember it just fine; I live in Florida. I’m just saying that a state more in doubt would be a better choice. Democrats may cheat enough (i.e., Broward & Dade counties) to win but I don’t think so. Better to go after Arizona or someplace in more doubt. Do you like that better?
