PAte ve are not always responsible for the choices their children. make. DH and i raised 3 kids all the same way. We have a pastor, a doctor, and. heroin addict. It has taken me years to realize it’s not my fault that one went off the reservation and there is nothing I could do about it. Petty judgemental attitudes like yours no longer bother me - I have been through my own private hell and nothing ignorant people say can hurt worse than. going to bed every night wondering if this was the night you would be awakened by the police or the coroner. However I’m sure there are plenty of struggling parents out there that are still hurt even worse by your morally superior attitude. Congratulations
Good for you. I was a USAF enlisted guy. Since I didn’t want my son to put up with the BS that I did, I told him to become an officer. He did. Now, he is a USAF pilot. 👍
We don’t know they were involved. It’s possible they are as angry as anyone, and hauled his worthless rear off to jail. Or, maybe they are involved too. If they are, lock them up too .
I call it like I see it. You can take as you like, it’s up to you. And I know, and feel your sense of helplessness, that not all kids turn out the same. It is a damn shame. That doesn’t change my considered opinion.
May you never have to experience a child gone rogue or face ignorant people’s blame for the choices your adult children make
Thank you for your best wishes. Nothing is certain in life, you never know what’s going to happen but you do your best, and sometimes a wrong’un comes along... you deal with it. A clogged toilet seldom fixes itself, that’s what men are for.
