I recognize that you acknowledge your unworthiness to receive the Body and Blood of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. That’s okay; the Sacrament is an awesome gift of God. But you can make yourself presentable.
(1) If you aren’t already baptized, get baptized first. God can’t feed a baby Christian until he’s reborn in the waters or baptism. This may require some time and study, perhaps a year or two, so that you come to a primitive understanding of this sacrament.
(2) If you are baptized, go to confession. In that sacrament, God will forgive your sins. You must confess any mortal sin before receiving the Eucharist. If you don’t know what a mortal sin is, the priest will help you. Please contact your local parish immediately, and if that parish cannot or will not help you, try a few more. You’ll find a good priest in short order in the District of Columbia.
