British experts say turn OFF air conditioning to reduce risk of spreading coronavirus as WHO admits pathogen can spread through tiny floating droplets
Where?
DEfinitely not here.
House up the road had a family reunion the first weekend of ‘shutdown’. At least 100 people of all ages were there. Cars parked all over the yard/up the road.
Walmart and Kroger became ‘destination’ spots. Nearly everyone went there at least once a day. Nothing else to do because it’s closed? Go to walmart!
etc.

“CDC chief says Northerners heading South for vacation may be to blame for surge in coronavirus cases, not state reopenings”
My brother was just commenting on it was people bring the virus to us from up north.. I am seeing a lot of New York and other northern tags in my area. They started showing up the last week of May.
Because ‘we’ were open and they weren’t.
So yeah, opening up did bring the virus...
Seeing them all over TX, as well :-(

Texas reported 10,745 new cases today with 18.4% of tests positive and 87 new deaths. That’s a new high for cases.

As of today, the trauma service area that includes Galveston and Beaumont has ZERO open ICU beds.
TX has had 10K new cases for about the past ten days or so. They’re turning away people from hospitals because there simply are no beds. Patients sit in the ER or ambulances for hours before being seen. 950 something healthcare workers have been brought in from the military.
But, hey, it’s just the sniffles so beds will be available every 15 minutes...
Where? Everywhere in my area of TX. Our house is one of the few that isn’t a vacation rental. No one, NO ONE, in the neighborhood wears a mask. No one I’ve seen out and about wears a mask.
When the shut down first began, everyone decided they needed to do improvements on their rentals so there were work crews blocking the roads. It was essential to put up twinkle lights. The work crews are just now starting to leave and not one ever wore a mask.
In town, parking lots were full during the shut down. Traffic never showed down. Someone wearing a mask was a rarity. People just couldn’t stay home so congregated at Walmart, the grocery store and Home Depot and long lines at McDonald’s. Come on, just stay home.
All of this is why our county’s cases jumped 110% over 7 days as of Sunday.
Yes, family reunions and partying tourists with cars parked everywhere here, too.
Those “essential” boat rentals are doing booming business. The beer barn is doing great, too. P A R T Y! Way more than the allowed number of people congregating.
Rural.
My rural area total cumulative cases jumped from 9 to 16 last week.
Looks like the rural surge is happening now.
Virus went from big cities to medium to suburbs and now us.
My podunk rural area has 183 ACTIVE cases. Thats a 110% increase in the past 7 days. 60 have recovered since day 1.
1. % change in no. of tests?
2. Positive parameters?
3. Nature, condition of positive s?

Hmm, nothing is 100%, imo.
