"Just who was the FBI when Comey was its director and Strzok was overseeing the investigation into Flynn and Trump–Russia? Their FBI lied to the surveillance court on multiple occasions and led the public to believe it had a powerful cause to suspect a conspiracy between Trump and Russia when it didn’t have the goods. It not only did “tolerate…improper behavior.” Their FBI exemplified it. "

Great read. I wish it went more into what is known about Meuller’s team leveraging Flynn’s son against him. That is the best point on Flynn’s withdrawal of his guilty plea.
The FARA stuff was complete nonsense, when you rely on a lawyer to lead you through the forms, you’re entitled to rely on that unless it is blatantly obvious the lawyer is wrong. Relying on your lawyer is not criminal otherwise. Who advised him on FARA? Covington, who should have taken the heat if there actually was a FARA issue.

They suspected he was a Russian agent

That is a naive statement. No, they didn't suspect he was a Russian agent. They made up the story and turned 4 or 5 agencies in the US government upside-down to create the false statements, interviews, and time-lines to help them make that claim that no one but a few cub reporters in the fake-news media believed.

Listen to Dan Bongino's interview with Sydney Powell. This is the address: https://bongino.com/ep-1256-interview-with-general-flynns-lawyer-sidney-powell

Not prosecuting the traitors will only embolden them. And they WILL do it again. And again. And again. Until they impose a police state.

Witness the shutdown and imprisonment of the ENTIRE country. Witness the willful murder of senior citizens. Witness the turmoil that benefits Russia and Red China.

There is no justice for We the people so long as the non-prosecution continues. Recourse?

“They suspected he was a Russian agent....”
That’s a dirty stinking lie! They knew bleep well he WASN’T a Russian agent! But they also knew he’d uncover all their perfidy in office, up to and including doing audit of their “loss” of Billion$ of taxpayer monie$.

It’s a good read but it is spin too; it concludes the thing was kicked off by the rhetoric at the Republican convention in fall 2016 but the hatred of Flynn goes back to 2015 if not earlier.

Strange that there is no comment on the sheer number of book deals among the various players [I bet nearly all of them trace back to a Stuttgart Germany publishing family.]

No mention of Mifsud, Papadopoulos, either. And no mention of Brennan, unless I missed it while skimming the article.

Outstanding post!

As you can see from my 2 memes, I see the "FBI Flynn Goal" of "Get him FIRED" as the ultimate admission that the FBI has lost sight of its justice/law enforcement charter, and now feels free to openly engage in

  1. POLITICAL attack schemes (Totally outside LEOs' role)

  2. VIGILANTISM (Usurping the Judiciary role of conviction and PUNISHMENT.)

At least since before Ruby Ridge & Waco, the FBI has frequently behaved more like the GESTAPO, STASI or Cheka -- than America's premier law enforcement agency.

And (see my FRProfile -- including "creds") I learned -- firsthand -- lots about the FBI in OKC -- and much of it was not good at all... :-(

Unfortunately, IMO -- and despite Hannity's claims -- the "Get a conviction!" rot extends very far down into the FBI ranks -- because of years of rotten training and crooked leadership.

Sad words - but that's how I see today's FBI...

There are two versions of spin here.

The spin by those who sought to get Flynn fired and/or prosecuted at the beginning of the administration. This spin has now been revealed as a pack of lies and dirty tricks.

The spin by those of us who are now seeing this whole thing for the dirty game it was including the DOJ now that honest people are looking into it.

Which version is likely correct?

I am ticked off and horrified by what happened to Flynn.

However, we need to recognize something in our anger.

This coup was run out of the 7th floor of the FBI by senior officials. The “field office” below them was going to close the case because they found nothing after their tasking. In other words, the “rank and file” was going to close it down because there was nothing there. That should have been the end of it.

The case, which had not been closed yet administratively, was then pulled up to the 7th floor. We know this (Strozk text messages). A place where they were not allowed to roam and certainly had no reason to know what was up. The investigation was run by the Deputy Director reporting directly to Comey - not field agents. It was as far above the field as you could get.

The lack of “whistleblowers” has made many of us (me too) upset, but who was there to blow the whistle if they knew nothing about it? Everything we see and hear involves only a few people - Strozk, Page, McCabe, Priestap, Baker, Comey, et all. Basically the 7th floor or command staff - a place they never went to unless they were summoned.

It is likely that some were given individual taskings by the 7th floor, but they had no idea what the big picture or even the real goal of all of this was. They had no authority to ask. How would they know what the goal was unless they were in the Deputy Director’s office? They couldn’t.

As we said in the military - it was all above their grade and rank and it is unlikely many of the “field agents” knew anything more than the same crap we read in the newspapers (what the 7th floor leaked).

I know none of us want to hear any defense of the “FBI” and I don’t want to defend them because I am pissed, but the only names we hear were the bigwigs on the 7th floor. None of this has referenced the field agents or even the groups at the Hoover building.

At this point, unless we learn something very different, blaming the average FBI agent for this coup attempt (I have too in my anger) is not supported by the evidence we have seen. I have looked. It is the same names over and over and these were people who far outranked the rank and file agents in a compartmentalized organization.

Just pointing this out because I value accuracy.

He was evasive when asked about conversations with the Russians on behalf of the president. In what was essentially an “informational” conversation with people outside Trump’s foreign policy circle with no demonstrated “need to know”. Were they cleared for such information?

Flynn was right to avoid giving direct answers. As a career intel guy he would know his conversations were no doubt surveilled by both Russians and American intel, but if these two goobers weren’t in the loop, he had no reason to talk to them about what he said on Trump’s behalf.

I agree that the "Crossfire" variants (including "Crossfire Razor" (Flynn) were run at the top levels. That is accurate.

But the "Thou shalt not make the FBI look bad" 'Prime Directive' has been in effect -- essentially since there's been an FBI -- and that goes right down to the "grunts"...

And, the "What the FBI (and its FD302s) says -- is Gospel Truth" attitude pervades the entire "FBI Culture" -- top to bottom. I had the opportunity to meet many OKC witnesses, and, every single one claimed, "The 302 of my interview doesn't reflect what I said!" BUT, the 302 is claimed to be the SOLE evidence of the interview.

In my chapter on the physics of the collapse of the Murrah Building, I flat-out called FBI OKBomb SAIC Danny Defenbaugh a "Liar".When asked about why the truck crater was covered so quickly, he exclaimed to the press:

"Investigators weren't hiding anything from the public, only trying to preserve water-soluble evidence."

When I called him "liar", I was looking at this photo of the crater, taken ~4 hours after the explosion.

That reddish-brown area in the left foreground is the crater, filed with ("Oklahoma red clay") muddy water -- "camouflaged" by floating debris (mostly paper). The water was running down the gutter -- through the crater -- from a damaged A/C chiller uphill from it.

For over a week, FBI nightly meetings recorded a continuing problem: "Water running through the Crater"...

What "water-soluble evidence"??

What the FBI was hiding was the size of the crater. They claimed it was 28, then 32 feet in diameter. But -- they covered it with eight (8) sheets of plywood - a sixteen (16) foot square!

I could type for hours -- but the FBI wasn't out to reveal the truth in OKC...

And, I see no evidence that it has become more justice-oriented.
