That is why he didn’t stop and wait for the police to question him as you or I would have done.
= = =
I have talked to the police.
I called them for a problem at my neighborhood.
They interrogated me as a suspect before listening to the problem.
So . . . My demeanor is not to wait for the police to question me. My local Public Defender advised to not to talk to law enforcement, you will only end up arrested. And he gave me multiple local examples.
McMichael never had any intention of killing Arbery,
= = =
Why did he carry a loaded shotgun?
WHy did his dad carry a loaded pistol?
To wave it around and scare him? Or shoot him to wound him?
What you are missing is that Arbery recognized McMichael as Law Enforcement from his previous brushes with the law and imagined his only hope of staying out of prison was to murder both McMichaels, thus preventing anyone from being able to identify him.
= = =
What was the crime that Arbery was afraid of facing? Trespassing into a house under construction? That would send him to prison?
Murder? both? McMichaels? You know this, how?
Identify him? He was on camera?

I will wait for the court system to play out.
I do not expect real truth or justice to prevail.
I will live with that, and conduct my actions accordingly.
I expect that we will never know Arbery’s mind/motive.
Maybe we might find out McMichael(s plural) motives.
Meanwhile, This whole series of diatribes is interesting as a case study in human responses.
I would hope, as this evolves, that we ALL would be able to discern truth and facts (in spite of the final outcome and the ‘news’) and see the correct picture of who is ‘hyping’ this event, and why.

I think I see the problem. I have never had a Public Defender...

My local Public Defender - -
The Public Defender in my jurisdiction.
Lives in my town, loved Scalia, Viet Nam Vet. Works for his defendants. We talk occasionally.
He has never defended me. So what. I have had paid lawyers. Lots of folks do.
So you see a problem.

Yes.
His property, his call whether someone found there is deemed allowed.
Essential nature of sovereignty.

Of course! I forgot sovereign citizens operate their own legal system and retroactively give authorizations to dead people.
And WalMart could retroactively authorize him to take a television and the court would be required to clear his record of that little misunderstanding.
If someone trespasses on your property, police find him in the act & arrest him, and you show up after and say my land, its OK for him to be here - do the police say nope, hes going to jail? Of course not.
Likewise, if hes found with [your] stolen goods and you (or in your example, Walmart) say thats fine, he can take it, we wont press charges, police will not proceed with a theft case. Thats a thing, really.

Of course not. Not even where there is a dead body involved. Indeed, when you say it's alright for the dead body to be there, they just let him rest in peace.

Of course it is, even if he is dead. I have never seven heard of the police arresting a corpse, much less dragging the body off to jail and proceeding with a theft case against it. I even hear that in Chicago, sovereign corpses exercise their post-death right to vote. The rights of the dead have been ignored for far too long. Those darned courts even went so far as to find it impossible to libel a dead person.
I have a question. Vinny Victim, a sovereign citizen, goes to bed and dies of a heart atttack. Billy Badguy comes along, enters Vinny's bedroom, and empties a 15-round magazine into Vinny's sovereign corpse. It is not possible to murder a corpse. Billy did not know Vinny was dead, so he is guilty of attempted murder. However, if through a medium, Vinny were to send back a retroactive authorization to shoot up his sovereign corpse, would Billy still be guilty of a crime?
I don’t know what your point is. Ahmaud Arbery was caught red handed in the act of trying to steal property from a house that was under construction. Three good Samaritans took off after him to catch the crook. He ran like a bat out of hell because he knew he was guilty. He then decided that, instead of surrendering, he would charge at a guy with a shotgun and try to take a shot gun away from him. There is no crime here.
Mark for further gloating.
