Excellent idea. You don’t have insurance coverage if you don’t get the vaccine. Very much like the US Army that required you to get the flu shots. If you didn’t and you got the flu, it was considered “Not In The Line of Duty”. No sick leave and you paid, out of pocket, for your treatment.

First, Roll Tide!

Second, I don’t know what your point is about not seeing me at FR before. I got a little fed up with the place when the Redditors invaded in 2016, but I’ve been an active poster since March of 2000. So, welcome to FR, noob!

Third, the Bill Gates conspiracy fever swamp is amusing, but those who have drunk that coolaid are unreachable. I’ll leave that alone then.

Fourth, if you’re skeptical of a hastily developed vaccine, I share that specific caution. Time will tell if we get a vaccine at all (color me skeptical).

Fith, my remark above was in reaction to the piece posted, that contextualized ANY CCP Virus vaccine that might be developed into the broader anti-vax movement. THAT group of people are not just ignorant, misguided fools (though they are that). They are promoting an evil idea that can, and has, resulted in actual disease and needless suffering in the world when they convince parents to, for instance, not vaccinate their children against measles.

Polio, tenanus, rubella, measles, pertussis, mumps, diphtheria, smallpox were all distant memories until the anti-vax idiots started having an influence. They should be resisted vigorously.

Bill Gates is frankly a really creepy dude. You’d have to work pretty hard to convince me not to believe the worst about him.

“Not a fan of freedom, are you?”

I absolutely am! Including for insurance companies to decide who to insure or not.

Your free to not take the vaccine and you’re free to pay for the consequences.

And a Roll Tide to you, also.

I, myself, have been a long time lurker, short time poster.

There are reasons to be suspicious of Bill Gates. Even if he isn’t involved in the vaccine, I would still be wary. Vaccines should take years or decades to develop. You can’t rush them.

I’m not an “Anti-Vaxxer”, but I don’t understand the fear over this virus. The H1N1 was much more dangerous and the CCP virus isn’t even in the neighborhood of the terrifying Spanish Flu.

I have a very powerful immune system, so I know for a fact that I won’t get this bug. In fact, only one person in my area has contracted it. It simply has not been a problem. Plus, the heat and humidity are killing any viruses.

If the CCP virus were similar to polio, smallpox, etc then yes, I would take the vaccine. But it’s not.

If that were to happen the insurance companies should be free to adjust their coverage based on the risks they incur.

Obviously if the vaccines were ineffective or made matters worse they would adjust the coverage accordingly. Don’t you think?

They’re not in it to lose money.

Why can’t we just treat the symptoms and live? After that we don’t need a vaccine, we have antibodies.

We don't know that yet. And, antibodies may only last a year or two, if at all. They are looking at developing vaccines that will deal with multiple mutations of this virus. And, "just the symptoms" of this virus have already killed many thousands, even though they received treatment. And, even though the treatment may work for you, how many more people are you going to infect waiting for the treatment to take effect?

Just saying that it is a very known risk

When they tried pushing that Gardasel crap in Texas they only wanted to vaccinate all girls and turn it into a woman’s issue even though men can also get HPV and spread it and men can even get cancer from HPV.

So which is it do we vaccinate people to keep them from being spreaders even though they are not at risk or do we vaccinate them to keep them from contracting it?

Please give me one of these conspiracy theories.

I will give you direct quotes from Bill Gates on tape.

First of all, I’m not an “anti-vaxxer”.

Second, it’s obvious that you are incredibly ignorant about Bill Gates. But, that’s your problem.

As I said before: If you are gullible enough to allow a hastily developed vaccine to be put in your system, that’s your funeral. You are obviously a follower of the leftist fake news.

I have something called an “immune system”. It fights off everything, especially weak little bugs with a 99.5% survival rate.

Stay under your bed and quiver in fear. I’ll just go out, have fun and live my normal life.

Even as a documented survivor of Guillain-Barré syndrome, GBS, from the flu vaccine used in the US during a swine flu outbreak in 1976), we are linked to an increased risk, I still believe in most vaccines.

I never took the first Shingles vaccine as many ID’s, I knew/know, never took it.

I did take the new 2 shot Shingles vac, and my shoulder felt like someone hit it with an aluminum ball bat for about 2 weeks after the second shot. I still recommend taking it if you can find it. My wife got the first shot and Covid-19 eliminated getting the 2nd Shingles shot. If you are a couple, only one at time for the shots.

I will never take any vaccine that Bill Gates and George $oreA$$ are involved in.

However, be my guest and line up for one if Gates and $oreA$$ comes up with one. Take 2, you can have mine.

Assuming the vaccine is effective, why should I care whether the FluBros don’t get it. The sickness will only be THEIR PROBLEM.

Let’s see: A “rushed” vaccine for a weak virus with a 99.5% survival rate. No thanks.

I don’t have to worry about insurance because I won’t get the bug. My immune system is too powerful, plus the bug is not in my area.

Even if it were, the heat and humidity would kill it.

You aren’t for freedom; You want to coerce Americans into poisoning our bodies, just for a weak little virus.

Insurance should not pay for the vaccine, nor should they pay for the resulting health problems from said vaccine.

Those that want it can get it. And they are protected.

Those that don’t can skip it. However, the insurance companies should have the right to not cover the medical costs of those that opt out.

Sure. As long as the insurance companies have the right to opt out of paying for treatment for the lifelong side effects of vaccinations, which are much more costly than treating a fever and a rash that lasts for a couple of days. Oh, and then they will never have to be treated for that particular illness again, unlike the vaccinated who’s immunity is temporary and contrary to your false premise NOT guaranteed.

It’s a Miracle that man has survived these thousands of years without vaccines. Or, if you’re an evolutionist, millions. How was that possible without Bill Gates and Fauci? Thinking minds want to know

We don't know that yet. And, antibodies may only last a year or two, if at all.

If naturally acquired antibodies resulting from being infected with the virus are that ineffective, what makes you think a vaccination, which is merely an artificial attempt to stimulate the immune system with only a small protein portion of the virus will fare any better?

You are aware that the efficacy of the flu vaccine is NOT the number of those vaccinated who don’t get the flu but how many end up seeking medical treatment when they do, right?
