I told you folks. The Dems are going to be against it and the rabid Trump haters will be against it too.

Trump is leveraging market competition effectively here. Yes, mistakes could be made and some will but it's an ambitious plan. The timeline might be too optimistic but a candidate, hopefully multiple candidates, will come along. We might find out an effective vaccine is not possible. A different situation but HIV has proven intractable although we do have daily Truvada for those who can take it as prevention and many good therapeutics.
Trump's pushing aggressively for therapeutics while Fauci is pushing for a vaccine which may or may not come.
One disadvantage the West has here is the Chinese are more likely to put people at risk in their development of a vaccine or therapeutics.

I doubt very much that President Trump wants everyone to get a vaccine for this virus. I honestly believe that President Trump is purely playing the game/politics...The stock market went green with this announcement.
So you're saying President Trump is lying?
