I wonder who’s version of “relatively” we are utilizing?

Basically people who are not severely obese, or have other serious medical conditions like COPD, diabetes, cancer, etc.

Way to miss the point.

The fact that Fauci and his minions stand to make millions off of Remdesivir has nothing to do with their testimony.

They would rather put them on a ventilator and watch them die then give them a medication that has a good chance of curing them. I’m not surprised at all that the left is playing politics with people’s lives. I bet they have prescriptions at their house just in case they need it.

I have twice been prescribed hydroxychloroquine. The doctors who prescribed it did not perform an ECG or other such test on me before prescribing.

That’s because the CDC recommended HCQ for anybody traveling to particular malarial regions as long as they did not suffer from psoriasis.

RE: I have twice been prescribed hydroxychloroquine.

May I ask for what condition?

The oldest trick in the book. Leaving out the information they don’t like, and distorting the information they decide to use.

This drug is used around the world as an anti-malarial and the people taking it are not monitored via ECG. It is also used to treat lupus and certain types of arthritis every day and are those patients monitored?

Shouldn’t this drug be taken off the market if it is dangerous?

Malaria prophylaxis for travel to eastern South Africa back in the 1990s. I had a high-deductible insurance policy and wanted the least expensive of the recommended malaria drugs. I don’t think they prescribe chloroquine any longer because the malaria there has developed drug resistance. The second time I went there the locals told me not to bother taking chloroquine because it was ineffective. Evidently, they knew more than my doctor. I kept taking it anyway. (The locals couldn’t take any of the prophylactic drugs because continuous use has bad side effects.)

The last time I went to Africa (Kenya 2010) my doctor prescribed doxycycline.

There's emerging evidence that vitamin D deficiency may be relevant to the risk of developing COVID-19 and the severity of the disease...

This is 100% avoidable. Just take a Vit D tablet every day.

I have been taking 5000 iu of Vit D everyday for years. No colds, sore throats, etc. Yes, this info is 'anecdotal' but to my knowledge, Vit D does no harm, so why not. It's like a very low cost insurance policy.

Widely available at grocery stores, pharmacies and online for pennies a day. Example, Amazon: 5000 iu, $.07 per pill.
