It was not necessary. Getting and having everyone in public and everyone on every job to (1) wear masks & latex or nitrite gloves while out in the public, (2) remove masks and gloves upon re-entering the home, (3) washing hands frequently and particularly upon returning home, (4) never touching eyes, nose or mouth with a hand, as standard practice for some time, would have contained the spread of the virus enough, without closing any business.
Didja ever notice that’s it’s the blue states and blue cities that are crying poor mouth? Money management is not rocket science.

Thanks, Jane. Just caught it... it was awesome! I believe President Trump is honoring nurses today, and it appears all of the medical professionals behind Trump were nurses from all over the US who have been dealing with COVID-19 patients.
The Fake News tried to get under Trump's skin, but he - and the nurses standing behind him - would have NONE of it! :-D
It was a great event, with President Trump (and nurses from the front lines!) slapping down the Fake News. Dr. Scarf made a brief appearance.

I forget the exact project, but as I recall NYC wanted to build a skating rink or something like that and it kept getting delayed in going over budget until Trump took over and finished it under budget in before the deadline. New York City is by far one of the most corrupt And poorly run cities in the country, with Chicago taking the lead in that. No sane person would want the Blasio a single penny because he would waste it on some feel good social justice warrior project.

Then deciding “cleaning” the subway cars once every 72 hours or so, maybe, if we feel like it today, even before and during a pandemic, what could possibly go wrong.
This is the devil who encouraged City dwellers to go to Chinatown and help celebrate the Chinese holiday in late February! He and Nasty Pelousey have more deaths in their satchels than the worst serial killers (abortionists).
