I've come to the conclusion that epidemiology is an inexact science in medicine. I'm sure MD's and PH.d's are much smarter than me. However, they can't even cure the common cold or be positive of their yearly influenza vaccines - they use their best guesses to what mutation will pop up every winter.

We get flu vaccines every year and managed to avoid it this year. Still, there are others who also get the vaccine and wind up with full-blown flu, and not sniffles and sneezing from a cold. I can't believe how many people claim to have the flu because they feel a little lethargic with a runny nose. There is a huge difference in the symptoms from a cold and the bed-ridden affects of influenza.

Yet, thousands die every year of the current mutation of the flu, but we don't shut down the world!

My solution is our populace use the proven techniques before going into a residence is use what actually works:
If you come in from the garage, use a fine mist of at least 70% alcohol to clean off bought items and set aside. Before that throw the bags in the trash can.
Do the same with your hands before you touch your doorknob and make sure they are still wet enough to clean the knobs;
Then bring your sterilized items into the house. Wash your hands again before touching your face and I think America will not see this kind of economic havoc again.

Keep in mind when you are using Clorox wipes or alcohol to clean ALL surfaces, including crevices of the items you are to introduce into your hopefully sterile home.

If everyone did such, there would be less colds and flu. We started the above protocol in Dec. 2019 before we heard of this particular virus. We did so because of a bad flu season. Of course, we have been using masks and goggles since COVID-19 became such a threat.
