“Corona”
What the hell were they expecting when they chose that name?

My thoughts: 1.) High population density 2.) Large numbers of unrelated individuals sharing single-family housing units (illegals?) and lax enforcement of the housing codes 3.) Less social distancing 4.) Universal reliance on mass transit 5.) Poorly paid /poorly trained nursing home staff failing to use basic infectious disease precautions 6.) Some other factors ("Factor X, Y and Z") eg. a possible link between higher incidence of vitamin D deficiency among persons of color living in northern latitudes corresponding to their higher death rate from COVID-19 has been suggested by some European researchers.
If 53% of all COVID-19 deaths in the US are in New York City, its suburbs and North Jersey, perhaps that says something about New York City, its suburbs and North Jersey rather than coronaviruses. Just a thought. (This dystopian world is precisely the world that AOC and Commie Bernie dream of.)

Very simple - viruses spread like wildfire if people are allowed to ride them without masks - as now proven in NYC.

“Corona is served by the 7 Train, the single most crowded subway line in the city and probably the world.”
No, the 7 train was one of the best, actually. Go to the front or the back of the train for possible seats. If things get backed up , just take the next nearly empty train.
Almost no homeless, too. Asians and Hispanics don’t do that too much.
The E train is terrible. Lots of skanky homeless, plus, it never goes above ground, so it’s warmest in winter and coolest on the hottest days of summer.

Well I’m on my way
I don’t know where I’m going
I’m on my way I’m taking my time
But I don’t know where

Corona, Queens is a low rent ugly area occupied mostly by Hispanics. Including LOTS of illegals who stuff as many bodies as possible into a rented apartment or house. From what I recall, it's mostly apartments and rowhouses right on top of each other, and not kept particularly clean. I am not surprised at all at these stats, considering the population density, lack of education, and probable lack of previous vaccinations or normal medical care before they sneaked into the U.S. to feed off Uncle Sugar.

I know that area very well.
Corona/Jackson Heights is a very diverse area. Nothing wrong with diversity, people can come to America to build their dreams unless they understand American values.
But that area has a high percentage of illegal immigrants, etc.
