I hope that Trump can give them an even bigger hit in his next term. Defund NPR! They should, at very least have to abide by federal election finance laws since they do nothing but promote the democrat party 24/7

here locally we're already getting the sob stories from the school district....they just gave teachers monstrous pay raises averaging 16% and now gosh, they're broke...

but slice out administrators?..nope..fancy secretaries?..nope....they'll go after sports and band....

NPR can pound sand...they do not represent all of America at all...

NPR would be great if not for the incessant liberal bias. Liberals don’t know how good they have it. They get to tune in and have their worldview reinforced on the taxpayer dime with superb production values and zero commercials. Meanwhile we have to sit through Mahindra and My Pillow ads every four minutes. We still win, though, because our radio guys are great guys with great talent and, more importantly, they’re right.

Might I suggest they close down the Seattle NPR station?

The one that wouldn’t air the daily White House pressers for the past month?

Everytime the issue is raised libtards suddenly discover that PBS/NPR is their favorite channel despite mostly rarely watching/listening or not having used it since they were a kid. Then its all over the presses as if Trump is going to gun down your family pet. Then once the threat passes the news cycle moves on and everybody complains about not funding the 9 billion other things they want funded and are the most important thing in the world at that moment.

Shows how much your local station got from the $75 million Nancy gave them.

$75 million that as a result, didn’t go to ventilators, or face masks.

Perhaps Gov. Cuomo could send them some ventilators? That seemed to help New York State.

I've always thought a good offer would be to let a conservative take over the management, especially of the news section, commentary, and “history” (which is usually garbage propaganda). New conservative management has free reign to cut liberals off and establish first-rate journalism. Broadcast Pager U, Hoover Institution, Andrew Klavan, Mark Steyn or that ilk. Maybe some new thinkers who merit a wider audience but lack the resources to do it on their own. But letting NPR sink is also a good idea.

Almost happened, but unfortunately, it didn’t work. Here is what wikipedia described:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The charge of a conservative agenda came to a head in 2005. Kenneth Tomlinson, chair of the CPB board from September 2003 until September 2005, angered PBS and NPR supporters by unilaterally commissioning a conservative colleague to conduct a study of alleged bias in the PBS show NOW with Bill Moyers, and by appointing two conservatives as CPB Ombudsmen.[15] On November 3, 2005, Tomlinson resigned from the board, prompted by a report of his tenure by the CPB Inspector General, Kenneth Konz, requested by Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives. The report was made public on November 15. It states:

We found evidence that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) former Chairman violated statutory provisions and the Director’s Code of Ethics by dealing directly with one of the creators of a new public affairs program during negotiations with the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and the CPB over creating the show. Our review also found evidence that suggests “political tests” were a major criteria [sic] used by the former Chairman in recruiting a President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for CPB, which violated statutory prohibitions against such practices.[16]

Let’s see. If you send NPR a check for $1.00, will their automated fund raising program spit out multiple letters to you asking for money?

If each letter costs NPR $1.00, times 25 letters, equals $25. Yes? That $1 contribution will cost NPR $24.

BRILLIANT!

We can call that the freeperformula to drive NPR to the grave with donations.

Send them 2 used/empty soup cans and 20’ of kite line, and tell them that is it for the next 5 years.

Can you hear us now?

Quick! Run another telethon consisting of crappy gifts for big donations, and big guilt trips for people who don’t call. That’ll play real well during the lock down.
