Gracefully surrender the things of youth: birds, clean air, tuna, Taiwan.
(Yeah, I’m old!)
Would probably speed up war, but that’s no reason not to do it
Recognize Taiwan because it is rational and based on reality.
Yes we should recognize Taiwan. Yes we should ditch Red China.
“..they have to be honest, indeed totally transparent about what occurred, even if that means revealing information that is embarrassing...” I guess more is expected of China then the US government.
The Chicoms are our enemy but they are not responsible for the hysteria and panic that has swept our country. There are not responsible for people falling for the hucksters at Imperial College ( 2 - 3 million US deaths).
It is ironic, had the Chicoms sent an army here and demanded we submit to communist rule we would have sacrificed 100s of thousands of lives to stop them. But with one Corona virus we went willingly into the night.
Capital idea!
Great idea, they have given us the cover to do this. Do it. The time is now.
For a good time, call 606-4311. Ask for Ken.
You know who the singer was on that?
Christopher Guest, “Deteriorata” (not the real spelling, probably, but as close as I can remember)
Works for me. Better, give economic incentives to American owned companies to return production to the USA. It's become painfully obvious that we can't rely on China to produce our drugs, chemicals, and other commodities.
Pres. Trump has started what is called a "trade war" by the socialists, when he was just leveling the field. He did the same with what I and Perot saw the NAFTA agreement back when. Now, he should go all out and declare any company that is free to produce in China as a detriment to US security, and void any IRS considerations. He has the power within the Constitution.
Sure some will argue. However, the fact will remain we should support American fair trade, which has not been the case with China. Frigg them to tears and let the Chi-Com gov just die. "The only good communist is a dead communist"
I had such great hope for China when they saw the success of Hong Kong. No, like any dedicated commie, they need control.
There is NO difference between China's red flags and the Soviet Unions' red flags and the black flags of the National Socialist German's Worker Party (NAZI) who committed genocide.
Don't bother to argue, I was playing cat and mouse with Soviet ships/subs in my 11 years during the cold war. I know a little about this.
Melissa Manchester.
I like it. At least invite the President of the ROC to visit Washington, officially. That alone would send massive shock waves through mainland China.
Theres gotta to be a song there somewhere.
Better yet, recognize it as the legitimate government of China. Heads in Beijing would be exploding.
Every country that has debt owned by China should immediately cancel it.
All property owned by China that is outside of mainland China should be seized and sold off.
All companies with factories in China should immediately destroy all software and tooling to render the factories useless to the Chinese.
All Chinese nationals (students, diplomats, etc) should be declared persona non grata and be deported back to China.
Taiwan should be recognized as the legitimate government of China.
China should be removed from the UN Security Council.
President Xi and the rest of the CCP leadership, the military leadership, and the scientists in charge of the bio labs should all be referred to the Hague for violating international law by developing and releasing a bio-weapon, genocide, and crimes against humanity.
And China needs to be buried under trillions of dollars worth of litigation to permanently bankrupt them back to the 18th century.
“Bye-bye China, Hello Taiwan!
Theres gotta to be a song there somewhere.”
Rewrite Johnnie Wright’s “Hello Vietnam”
“Kiss, me goodbye and write me while I’m gone
Good, bye, Beijing, hello Taiwan.
America has heard the bugle, call
And you know it involves us, one an all
I don’t suppose the trade war will ever end
There’s fighting that will break us up a gain.
Kiss, me goodbye and write me while I’m gone
Good, bye, Beijing, hello Taiwan.”
Better than nothing. We should have done this 50 years ago.
