Go to: covid19.healthcare.org. It says, “Covid19 projections assuming full social distancing through May 2020.” The new U.S. death estimate is 60,000. A few days ago it was 80,000 and before that 100,000. All of these estimates have assumed social distancing.

For many years I have always used hand sanitizer....I wash my hands often, and never touch my hands to my face unless they are cleaned either after or while being out in public, or else I use my shirt to scratch an itch on my face..... I do this for the simple reason that I hate getting sick.... Now I see people on TV every day talking about how important is to do these things that I have always done..... I don’t wear a mask, don’t change my clothes or shower when I get home.... Considering how cautious I normally am, I don’t see any reason to over compensate, which seems to be what a lot of people are doing now

Jim, Is there a similar source for other causes of death for the last three months?

It would be real interesting to see if other "usual" causes also precipitously drop off as well.

Especially if the timing is co incidental to the hockey stick rise in covid deaths.

Young are not immune from the effects of COVID but are in no more danger than from the "regular" flu. Knowing this the economic shut down was unnecessary. The whole thing had been a mishandled pile of BS.

The lock down and economic close down would have made sense if all age groups and demographic groups were equally in danger and the disease itself was actually "deadly" in the 10% - 20% mortality range not .05% range that COVID-19 has been.

Some just fail to see what Happened in areas where they didn’t act or began too late should have been a wakeup.

I’m certainly convinced had we not taken the measures we did our work force would have been sick and dead, and companies, businesses, families crippled far worse and far longer than the few weeks we’ve been closed down.

Just understanding how terrible this virus affects the body’s system, how quickly it spreads, and without a vacccine or immunity or treatment was sufficient to call for measures. Not to mention the many Dr’s who consistently said they never saw anything like this affect patients so hard and fast.

I recall Emt’s saying they could actually tell which people they picked up would make it or not.........
