And next fall when it possibly happens again, everything closes again. This is insane.

Either we live like Asian Countries (or Middle Eastern countries) or we obliterate the threat. I know what I choose but our Government chooses otherwise so get use to the new normal. It’s never gonna end.

And as my family lived through that Spanish Flu in Philadelphia and other epidemics like Polio, and had loss, and survivals, life went on.

They can’t.

All they care about is that they are set up financially and with food, etc. Seems like they get off on this crap or something.

The rest of us have to live this non life indefinitely.

That ain’t life imo.

Maybe they don’t have close family, or fun, and this is normal for them?

For me, this sucks and is no kind of life. I hope I get it and either survive or not.

When did we become this kind of nation/people?

So either our government has to annihilate the threat (China and their continuous virus releasing crap) by obliterating them or we have to get use to this “new normal.” I vote for the former.

I agree. This is no life, and a lot pf people are suffering because of it.
This nation has changed in a way I cannot agree with. Nanny-staters have taken over the government on both sides and at all levels.
The only fortunate thing for me is that here in Fairbanks, it hasn’t turned summer yet. I tell you, people here will not stand for being locked down in the summer. Personally, summer is the only thing that keeps me in the interior of Alaska, it just can’t be beat.
Best wishes FRiend.

“Nanny-staters have taken over the government on both sides and at all levels.”

Exactly.

Best wishes to you, too.

If you don’t want COVID-19, it’s very simple. Stay home. If you’re willing to take the risk because something is important enough to you, then go out. That’s what freedom is all about.

The government is responsible for finding and quarantining the infected or incoming travelers. They have no right to create gigantic new paradigms for society that try to justify any action whatsoever against the entire population to “reduce the spread.”

“Coronavirus is essentially non existent in Kansas outside of those three urban/suburban counties “

The virus has achieved cult like status. I see nothing in my area but my neighbor is convinced that people are dropping in the street. I asked him if he knew anyone who had it and it was a ‘friend of a friend’ who went to the hospital.
