The contemporary news media is definitely not the Oracle at Delphi.

Theirs are the voices of the followers of blind King Dhritarashtra (to hash mythologies as well as metaphors). They have no idea what's going on and are too blind to care. They show only contempt for Truth--Truth for its own sake--presupposing truth to be whatever they say it is.

Their hatred for President Trump parallels their contempt for Truth. In fact, they're the same thing.

Out of habit, I turned on the television this morning and Faux News was on.

The banner at the bottom of the screen read, "Models show peak has arrived. Experts say worst is yet to come."

I immediately clicked over to YouTube and started watching the 1984 Talledega 500.

When the experts don't even trust the models, you know you're being played.

Also, I don't remember who won the 1984 Talledega 500 and if any of you homos tell me, I'll kill ya.

For those interested in the particulars of Oracles worked I recommend a book by Robert Temple, "Netherworld" - this includes the Greek oracular tradition, the Chinese hexagrams, and divination by entrails. He takes the reader down into a site in Italy which was once a oracle site far below ground and across a river (the Styx).

This is a very basic component of how the elites control the population.

Entrenched beliefs are very powerful and equivalent to religious beliefs.

With all due respect to Eugène Delacroix, the Oracle sat upon a tripod made of brass with an almond branch in her hand... I guess you had to be there. (What's with the dead sheep? You had to bring the big bucks!)
