And the permission of citizens.
I like to ‘tell’ people to ‘Remember the asbestos fiasco’.
It started out like any other ‘government’ warning and by the time it hit its stride it was virtually costing more to tear down a house built in the 1920s than to construct the 10 story building to replace it.
About the time all the contractors had ‘equipped themselves’ with all the ‘proper gear’ etc the ‘asbestos problem’ basically ‘went away’.
The ‘investigations’ should be how we ever (and WE are all to ‘blame’) let ourselves get in the position that we are over dependent on another country to supply our ‘basic needs’.
The same people that want to throw the blame (Rightfully so IMNSHO) also want to buy gear from the same people.
And we ‘know’ some are getting rich(er) through this crap.
Like ‘we’ say...’They’ are wasting time and money investigating a Billionaire that got into politics when the REAL investigation should be into the
Lifelong Pols that became Millionaires while supposedly ‘serving’ the Public on the Public dime...
Yes, the asbestos thing was way overdone. In most instances of installed asbestos; it would likely have done no harm to leave it in place. I lived near two asbestos mining communities for decades & knew several former asbestos miners. The mine closures wiped out two small towns. Wiped out, as in every single building demolished & cleared to the ground.
Care to defend these idiots?
